Vacaciones con spa en Cayos de Florida

El lugar es muy bonito y la habitación también, pero lamentablemente tuvimos un inconveniente con la ducha. No se podía regular la temperatura del agua; solo salía fría o muy caliente, sin posibilidad de dejarla a una temperatura media. La ducha tenía opción de bajarse, pero no funcionaba correctamente y el chorro de agua era muy débil, lo que hizo difícil bañar a mi niño de 4 años. Por la misma razón decidí no lavar mi cabello, ya que además de ser débil el chorro, la temperatura del agua era incómoda al estar solo muy caliente o muy fría. Comenté la situación a la recepcionista cuando ya nos retirábamos. Durante la estadía preferí no pedir cambio de habitación porque el hotel estaba muy lleno y temía perder la habitación con vista al agua que había elegido. Considerando que pagamos alrededor de 600 dólares por una noche, uno espera que todos los detalles funcionen correctamente. Ojalá puedan revisar este tipo de situaciones para que la experiencia esté realmente a la altura del lugar y del precio.

El área de la piscina está muy acogedora, la animación en la piscina magnífica y el lobby muy bueno y limpio. El inconveniente en mi hospedaje fue lo lejos que estaba ubicado. Reservé una villa, pero la distancia de donde estaba hospedado al área de las amenidades del hotel es demasiado lejos. Deberían definir ese punto antes de la reserva, aunque se que eso se basa en la disponibilidad del hotel, pero entonces deberia ser por un precio razonable. (Demasiado lejos del área de piscina, para un precio como el que pagué)

We really wanted to love the charm of Cheeca.While the beds are comfortable and some staff are wonderful, the property feels like it's resting on its reputation. For the price, the maintenance issues and inconsistent policies make it feel more like a strong 3-star hotel than a 5-star resort. The room had a persistent "humid" smell. The shower seals are broken, so the floor floods every time we shower. We also found the soundproofing poor—we could hear conversations from the room next door quite clearly. If you book here, I highly recommend requesting a newer Ocean-facing room to avoid these maintenance issues. The food is acceptable and the service was a rollercoaster. A shoutout to Damian, who was fantastic with allergies and preferences, and the manager, Jimmy, who really tried to make things right. General cleanliness at Atlantic's Edge was disappointing—we often saw food debris under tables that were supposedly "ready" for new guests. Also, when our bathroom flooded, we called the front desk for towels and a bath mat, but they never arrived. The Pool for kids is small (pics are misleading) and the staff can be strict and inconsistent. We were kicked out of the pool at 5:25PM because it was "closing," even though the posted rules said "Sunset" (which wasn't until 6:00 PM). On top of our prepaid stay, the hotel initially placed a $1,400 incidental hold on our card. This was a mistake, and after I told them they later refunded it but it was a stressful surprise.
