“swim up bar could of been bigger ”

“We had a great time as a family. The hotel shows no sign of damages from the hurricane. Clean property, nice staffs and great pools to enjoy! ”

“Facility was clean. Buffet was great. Omelette station in the morning was the best! Was kind of disappointed, the Italian restaurant wasn't open our first four days there, they finally did open and didn't let us know. So never got to eat there. The beach is across the street, free access is great, but then you are paying $7 per chair, per float, per umbrella, so that adds up day after day. Also paying for drinks and food on the beach day after day gets expensive. Air conditioning in the room……

“Nice staff , Shower was a disappointment tub was slippery bed and pillows very uncomfortable , food was decent alcohol was all bottom shelf if you wanted a decent drink you have to pay , very small section of beach is available for guests ,if you’re looking for fun or nightlife this isn’t it …pretty sleepy after 8 pm , spa was very nice . good location avoid beach on days when the cruise ships come in .very packed .too many rules for a “luxury ‘ stay ”

“We had a really enjoyable stay at Hotel Riu Palace Jamaica overall. “I’ve stayed at a RIU in Montego Bay before, so I knew paying more usually means a nicer, more “luxury” experience. That wasn’t really the case here. Palace Tropical Bay didn’t feel like an upgrade, and honestly we could’ve just stayed at Riu Negril and been just as happy, if not happier. When we went there for the White Party, it looked just as nice. The swim-up bar pool was also an issue—the filter seemed off because there was always debris floating around, which wasn’t great. “Everything was perfect up until the day of my wedding. My wedding was off the resort. The morning of my wedding they would not allow my makeup artist or photographers on. The day before I verified with them if it was OK and they said yes I need to pay for a day pass. The morning of they said no day passes available and that I have to pay a vendor fee of $800 per person. After all the back-and-forth the front desk, then told us that nobody was allowed to come on the resort because they are at……

“The view was beautiful to the sea, property was filthy, we told we weren’t allowed coffee until after the all inclusive guests ate first, there was only 2 bath towels, we had to ask for towels, face cloths, and beach towels, it took two days to receive. It is a huge slip and trip hazard when it rains, as the “flooring is smooth broken tile”, and uneven ground. No hand rails for any of the stairs or ramps, inclines. The bar staff was not personable. “Overall, a great hotel rooms are very small. Staff was a bit cranky understandable considering what they went through with the hurricane food was better than average not great. The beach is one of the best I’ve ever been on.”
