"Worst hotel and experience I’ve ever had. Checking in had to be the slowest process a hotel can possibly muster…a number of people “working” either chatting with friends or mysteriously doing something else. Took us over an hour to check in. Then of course they want to sell sell sell and it’s all about consumerism. Food quality was sub par, at best. It’s disgusting to be honest - I wouldn’t come anywhere near this hotel again if you paid me. UPDATE: the rest of the stay remained the same despite the hotel staff upgrading us to Privilege due to our complaint. The room itself was ok but despite being a new hotel, the bathroom door didn’t close properly, the light in the closet flickered and the door to the room didn’t lock (this last one was later fixed). But the worst was what happened while leaving the hotel! Even though the staff that took a couple hours to check us in when we arrived charged us to the environmental tax, they tried to charge us again while checking out. We showed them that it had been deducted from our bank account but they refused to accept their own issue and threatened to not let us leave the hotel unless we paid them again - and then told us that we can then later file a complaint and ask for a refund! As if that would ever happen based on the incompetence they displayed while we were there, let alone what would happen if we now have to chase them all the way from London. The were rude and aggressive and honestly NO ONE SHOULD STAY IN THIS HOTEL EVER. "

"The room cleaning service was not satisfied, the refrigerator was leaking, the scale was out of batteries, the electric kettle handle was broken and the welcome food wasn’t fresh — the cheese was hard and one of the dried fruits appeared to have been bitten. There was also a moldy odor in the room, and the bedsheets smelled. I had to keep calling the front desk on the first and second day to have these issues addressed. What was more surprising was the staff’s attitude at checkout when I raised these issues. She didn’t even apologize and seemed indifferent, as if it didn’t matter. I believe this kind of response may discourage guests from visiting the hotel again."

"No one speaks English, so cant help or explain anything. Many times my brother and husband had female staff walk into the men's restroom and clean while they are urinating!! The food had hair and finger nails in it several times, food was very poor testing, raw, poor quality. The liquor seemed watered down in 2 of the bars. They allow vaping at the beach bars. Worst resort I ever went to and I have travelled to 11 previous in Cancun with nothing like this."
