"Stayed two nights here after having spent two nights at a different hotel in Copacabana. The difference in both neighbourhood and accommodation were immediate. The staff were very welcoming and offered a welcome drink which I had on the rooftop before my room was ready. Great views from the roof and my room as well (could see Cristo Redentor). Had dinner and breakfast from the adjoining restaurant which were both very good. "

"My son and I spent 22 days here enjoying all the football, foot volley, Açaí, Roxy, Marcacana tour, Copacabana and Ipanema Beaches, Christ the Redeemer, Urca Mountain, Sugarloaf, Lapa Steps, Roxy, Brazilian culture and more! The hospitality and helpfulness of the desk speaking Spanish, English, and Portuguese was awesome. Housekeeping kept our stay clean! Thank you for sharing your country! "

"Basic rooms, but clean and for the most part comfortable. My only complaint was that there was no apparent way to turn off the air conditioner so the room was too cold for my liking. The staff was friendly and helpful, and some of them spoke English. The hotel is in an excellent location, situated just a few minutes walk from either Ipanema Beach or Copacabana Beach. Surrounded by plenty of nice restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and shopping. The breakfast was stellar! Literally everything you could think of and all fresh. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something affordable, and you can’t beat the location! "

Breakfast alone justified the stay.
24 hour corner store just a few steps away. Full grocery store a few more steps away. & then of course the beach a few more steps away.
Note:water in fridge is not complementary. I thought they were because there were just four small bottles of a no nane brand. "

"Anna Suites are apartments managed by the neighboring Arena Ipanema hotel. The breakfast buffet is at the hotel next door as is the rooftop bar and pool.
The suites are spacious and ideal for a couple or anyone who would appreciate a little more room.
The beds are comfortable, my room was quiet and always kept clean. You do need to provide your own personal items. The soap they provide is tiny.
There is a kitchenette which is good for heating up leftovers or storing, cold drinks.
