It was nice but I think that I will look into hotels in Cancun for future bookings... But if you are looking for a place where you can relax this hotel is for you.. Not a party scene at all.. Food was ok but you can compensate for all the alcohol you want...I give this place a 3 out 5...

Nice pool, the beach was not suitable for swimming

Posted May 23, 2015
Positives: The staff, the pool, and proximity to 5th Ave shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was good. Negatives: the beach area was full of seaweed, rocks, and was rented out to dozens of boats. Aggressively pushed a timeshare. Lunch, dinner, and the restaurant ambience were terrible. Wi-fi was extra and expensive. Only bottom shelf alcohol was included. All other alcohol, including mediocre, had to be purchased as a package for the day. The room was not that clean.

SEJOUR 4 JOURS FAMILLE

Posted May 17, 2015

Great location, friendly staff.

This is more of a sleepy, intimate resort. Enjoyed everything about it. Good food, friendly staff, great location. The $6 up charge to eat at the Mexican restaurant is totally worth it! Will definitely visit again.

We are not going back to this resort.

Pros: It's on the beach.
Cons: Not to charge for the Mexican restaurant, have a coffee maker in the room, the receptionists to be friendly.
Location: Playa del Carmen for shopping.
The Reef at coco beach is a small resort, no grounds to walk around, there are 3 restaurants, The Miramar is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the Italian and Mexican are open only for dinner. The Mexican charges $6.00 per person, which we didn't go, after all it's an all inclusive resort, why would they charge? There is a snack bar by the pool, that you have to wait in line to give your order to be prepared. On the beach in front of the hotel there are a lot of small boats docked, and tons of seaweed. To the left is a better beach, but there are no umbrellas, chairs or palm trees for shade, we went there because we enjoyed that part of the beach and then go back under our umbrella when the sun got to be too hot. There is a daily charge for the safe deposit box, no coffee maker in the room, I had to walk to the Miramar restaurant to get my morning coffee, not pleased about that. We wouldn't go back to that resort.
