"I want to start the review by complimenting the staff at Wyndham French Quarter in New Orleans. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and dedicated to making our stay as comfortable as possible. However, I am not satisfied with the hotel space in general. First, there are no refrigerators in the standard rooms. If one upgrades to a more expensive room, then you can get a refrigerator. That’s ridiculous. The bathroom had no counter space. It had a small sink, and no place for toiletries, toothbrushes, etc. And, the lighting is very poor. The bathroom was dark all the time. Secondly, there are no public spaces in this building. We had friends staying at another hotel, and there was no space to comfortably wait for them. There is no space for sitting and visiting, or waiting for the car or a cab. There is a tiny front room for check ins at a large desk. But, the general feeling is not welcoming. No matter where I stood, I was in someone’s way. Additionally, beware of lots of extra charges. Our room rate changed every night, from $175 on Wednesday to $313 on Friday and Saturday. So, if you are looking at the room rate on a website, that is not the complete picture. The parking fee is theoretically $50/ day. With multiple fees, it was actually $75/day. So, just beware, the Wyndham is a much more expensive hotel, with fewer amenities, than their website claims. I will not be staying here again."

"Clean and fun"

"My room was given away right in front of my own eyes as a "complimentary" upgrade. This resulting in me not getting the room I was expecting when I knew it was available. The staff first tried to blame it on me, then I spoke with the supervisor who then got upset with his employee as it was entirely their fault. All they did was compliment me a breakfast. "

"We prioritized having a balcony overlooking the Quarter. It was a beautiful corner room with a wrap around balcony. The room was spacious and was great for meeting up with our family. The room can be noisy at night because of the activity on Bourbon and that’s to be expected. The curtains and room configuration helped. Definitely something worth doing!"

"This French Quarter Homewood Suites is in a good location to walk or trolley to restaurants and attractions. Cajun Encounters conveniently picks up out front for their tours to assist in keeping your adventure card filled. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfasts are plentiful and fresh. Most of all, the staff members are all exceptionally kind and helpful including concierges Glen and Dave. Staff is plentiful to meet your every need and assure your safety. Access to the hotel and room floors have extra security measures. There’s a nice workout room and clean and spacious outside dining area with a huge grill, lots of seating, and a clean pool. Ours was a girlie trip where we flew in and didn’t have a car. Our flight in was the earliest one and the flight out was the latest one. The staff was very helpful and accommodating letting us check in early our first day and keeping our luggage secure after checkout and before Ubering to the airport in the early evening. Just can’t say enough good things about Homewood Suites on Rampart in the Quarter! Enjoy your stay! "
