Hotel is an old Georgian town house. If you had a room above ground floor level it would be lovely. My room and bathroom were very clean and well furnished and well maintained. However, it was in a basement (the original kitchen?) and looked out on to a small courtyard which had two storage rooms ...
Gorgeous boutique hotel in a quiet location which is only 15 minutes walk from the city centre and castle. A great choice for peace and quiet after a day in the city and the convenience of all the city's attractions
Lovely hotel. Clean and very comfortable. Staff were very helpful. Rooms had everything you might need which included quality products and lovely shortbread
Excellent! We were in there for 2 nights. We had a group of 11 the staff was wonderful, they made it where we could all sleep in the same house. Breakfast was great! It was wonderful having the bar and lounging area so close to each other.
The hotel was perfectly located opposite the Playhouse where I was going to a gig. The room was more beautiful and spacious than I expected and the staff were welcoming. The reduced rate on food and drink in the nearby bar and restaurant was a surprise and I will certainly return.
Enjoyed our stay as the staff where impeccable and tonne that's what makes a good stay. The room was a bit small and only a window in the ceiling which did not please me. The hotel is located in walking distance to the tourist attractions which is great.
It is perfect location it’s close to everything Staff are super friendly and helpful Their breakfast quality and service doesn’t match the hotel overall rating. You have to pay for the parking $50 a day which is disappointing Overall is a really good hotel and it was a great experience. We would ...
We were warmly welcomed by a very friendly & efficient member of staff & shown to a lovely room on the street level. Has a nice contemporary feel to the room, large comfy bed, plenty of storage space and very clean. Bathroom had tub & shower combo which is pretty rare in a reasonably priced room ...
We had a wonderful stay. The property is magnificent, the staff extremely efficient and polite, the restaurant excellent and the grounds are kept impeccably. Every night it was wonderful to get back to this corner of paradise after a day in the city center (which is only five minutes away by cab). ...
With bold yet tasteful decor and a warm welcome, you are made to feel special as soon as you arrive at Tigerlily. Despite the hotel's central location, our room was wonderfully quiet too. The food is also of an extremely high standard. I don't think I would stay anywhere else in Edinburgh.
Often there are some good staff in a hotel, it is very rare to find that all staff are so helpful, informative and pleasant however that is what you get at the Howard - well done to them. I was surprised that everyone could be so good, all the time. The room was very nice and you are close to the ...
A good hotel for exploring the city - really friendly staff and plenty of space. A lovely private garden which is a nice escape from the bustle of the city. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a great bathroom. The walk in shower was large and had great water pressure. Breakfast was plentiful ...
Sadly this was only a one night stay before heading home. We were met by the owner on arrival & shown around the entrance lobby & guest lounge before going up to see our room, we chose The Morrison Room. The room was large with a super-king bed, very clean, it smelt fresh & aired. The room had plenty ...
I can't say enough great things about my experience here. I stayed in the Lodge portion of the hotel. The staff are simply amazing. I got lost on my way from the airport, and the gentleman on duty stayed up until midnight waiting on me to arrive. (Check-in hours had already passed and you have to ...
Idyllic setting and hotel an absolute dream. They will happily prepare dinner for you but there is no drinks license so a bring your own requirement - plus it's a set dinner, but nevertheless delicious.. No lift so not suitable for disabled guests as bedrooms are on 2nd floor. One of those stays ...
