Far too expensive for this old, cold room that’s a pretty far walk from all the sights.

Good location. Good restaurant. Would stay there again.
Great hotel walkable to trains and old town. Nice fireplace and courtyard in lounge. very helpful staff
The check in staff was nice and Our room was fine. My biggest complaint is that we could t find anything. It literally took us 20 minutes to find the causal restaurant and then after that it took us forever to find our way back to the room. Then we wanted to use the pool and we spent more time to ...
Conveniently sited near a bus stop so parked car and it was 10 mins ride to city centre.Staff very helpful
Perfectly located near City Centre in Edinburgh, the Edinburgh City Hotel is in an historic building, with professional, friendly staff. The rooms are comfortable, the restaurant has wonderful dishes, and the bar is quaint but comfortable and inviting. If you are visiting Edinburgh, I highly recommend ...
Comfortable and friendly place to refresh from a long journey.
Lovely hotel, great decoration and extremely comfortable room. Near the train station and all the main sights.
Arrived and had bottle of wine and chocolates waiting fro us. Staff was very helpful, location could not have been in better place for shopping, eating and things to see.
Great location. Do not try to drive a car here. Best to come by taxi or Uber. A bit of a climb from public transportation and car parking?
Everything went well thank you. Cleanliness etc good. Hotel really in great position to go to everywhere we needed to go with minimum of fuss for transport as bus stop outside door and stopped centre of town. Swimming pool used.
This was our first visit to Edinburgh, and what a lucky find! The location is right near Arthur's Seat and a little quieter than the more touristy Royal Mile places. We did not cook ourselves this trip, but having the kitchenette to make tea, and the washing machine to wash muddy socks (after climbing ...
Lovely older hotel, kept up nicely. Very nice, helpful staff. Central location. Had a great time!
This was the best hotel and staff. Location perfect. Will always stay here for every visit.
Room is small. bed Nd bathroom are bad and small. you can hear everything from other rooms. breakfast and location are OK.
This small hotel is amazingly convenient near the Waverly Station. The staff was most helpful. The complimentary breakfast was well prepared and very satisfying. Although an older facility it has been refurbished. We were within walking distance of all the major attractions.
Look around on your stay in Edinburgh and you’ll see why the city’s eco-friendly hotels are so committed to sustainability and their green credentials.
Edinburgh’s natural beauty hits you the moment you arrive. Iconic landmarks and centuries of history nestle side by side with stunning natural features like Princes Street Gardens, and epic views, such as the one from Calton Hill to the east of the city.
Local hotels use organic and locally-sourced produce, recycling and energy efficiency to minimize their environmental impact.
Jaw-dropping vistas are all part of the deal when discovering this city. You could start with Edinburgh Castle perched atop an (extinct) volcano and look out across the striking Georgian New Town and the Firth of Forth beyond, before making your way down the Royal Mile to the Palace of Holyroodhouse. After practicing your royal wave in this regal residence, take a stroll up nearby Arthur’s Seat or Salisbury Crags for magnificent panoramas across the city.
