Sky Ranch Lodge

Sky Ranch Lodge

8/10 Good
"The property offers spectacular views, although guests need to walk off-site to fully appreciate them. Overall, it is a nice hotel with great scenery, but there are several areas that need attention and improvement. The adjacent airport restaurant is excellent, but dinner reservations should be made in advance. The hotel’s food trailer is a reasonable workaround in place of an on-site restaurant; however, serving wine in plastic cups and offering limited hours makes the experience less convenient than it could be. Although there appeared to be plenty of staff, most were behind the counter and did not engage much with guests. They also did not always seem prepared to answer basic questions. For example, when I asked about the shuttle schedule, I was told to find the driver and ask him directly. I initially did not intend to include this in a public review and instead contacted the property privately through the Expedia app, but I never received a response or apology. At checkout, I informed the front desk that I had seen a couple of cockroaches in my room and recommended that they spray the area. I had seen them twice during my stay. After leaving, I opened my suitcase at my next destination and found one between my shirts. The following day, I also found one in the back of my car. To be clear, these did not come with me before my visit to the property. This hotel has strong potential thanks to its beautiful views and pleasant setting. However, it needs to improve."

"I had a king bed suite and it was awesome! Love the names of suites and pictures, too! It had everything needed to make for an amazing stay! I love the red rock pool! It is large and clean and the hot tub is great, too! Cute gazebo near the bbq grills. The smaller pool also has large sized chess and checkers set and other games. It is so cool to see the red rocks of Sedona nearby! Check out Little Horse Trail and Bell Rock Trail. Also, Oak Creek near Indian Gardens is nice!"
