“We booked this property in April 2026 thinking it was one house made up of one dwelling. We booked one night and after some deliberation we booked a second consecutive night separately believing it would be the same property.
Upon arrival at the property we soon realized the house was divided into two separate residences, an east wing and a west wing. At no point did Black Sheep Hotels tell us that the property was made up of two residences and that we had in fact booked one night in each……

Casi no se puede ventilar ni abrir bien las ventanas.
Pido reembolso. Fue una mala decisión y el lugar es espantoso. (Casi £400 por una noche. 😱😣).”
“Not fit for human habitatation. Full of black mold. Some attempted to be wiped away, but thick patches in several rooms. Couldn't stay here with young children. After an hour of ringing around, no other rooms in FW, had to drive 4 hours home, arriving at 1.30am with young children.
Host communication poor, sent me to wrong place, neighbours all complaining about this host when I asked directions. Not the important part, but clearly characteristic. Zero response to complaint from host.
I stay……
“In general, it is good enough for travellers. City view with nearby restaurants. Saw a few young staff while checking in. Look like a family-run business. The room is large with a comfortable bed. Breakfast is a set rather than a buffet. ”
“We had a wonderful stay at Whispering Pine Lodge and absolutely loved our time there. The property is simply beautiful, with an incredible setting and a great deal of thought and care evident throughout.
Our room was very nice, comfortable and cosy, although it was a little on the smaller side for a family travelling with luggage. I am not sure there is much that can be done about this given the character of the property.
The staff were equally impressive — warm, attentive and genuinely……
“Very very bad experience with high room rate. First day check in the radiator was malfunction, then the manager offered a dusty and dirty portable heater. The hair dryer also occasionally out of order. The second day the room was cleaned with used towels left and room and floor was not cleaned. The third day no cleansing and also NO hot water supply. Though staff were tried to help and offered bottle of wine, but you can imagine how bad the experience during the stay. Will tell my friends not to……
“Room smelled moldy, there were multiple carpet stains - from water maybe? bathroom did not appear clean, towels were thread bare, twin beds were not comfortable
but staff was kind and helpful!”
