The grounds are beautifully decorated and inspire serenity. For the price though, the carpet was stained, the side table lamp had a terrible odor, the tiles in bathroom were coming off and the tub sealant was cracked. We did enjoy the location of our room, the fireplace, the breakfast and the service was excellent.

Only thing I can complain about is the showerheads were made for somebody that’s about 5 foot two. So if you’re any taller than that, it’s very difficult to shower and the shower stall is built probably in 1950.

The rooms were comfortable and silent at night.
The free self parking plus the complementary breakfast were a plus too.

The Pine Inn is an older hotel. Great location to everything! The furnishings are dated but that is what makes the hotel so unique. Rooms/hotels are very clean with beautiful grounds that are so well kept. Amenities - it would have been nice if they had coffee for the guests. We had a very nice ocean view but note the street below can be very noisy at 6 am in the morning. There are no fans or air conditioning so we had the windows opened a lot. Great walkable location. Quiet clean rooms. And most important honest staff with amazing integrity!! One person in our group lost $150 out of her pocket without realizing it. We returned from supper and the amazing evening staff person flagged her down and returned the cash. I am awed and humbled by the character demonstrated by this act of kindness. Just can’t say enough good things! We have stayed here several times and it’s always a great experience.
