“Great place! Clean and super nice staff.”

“I travel to Townsend a couple of times a year to visit GSMNP and have stayed at numerous hotels in that area. This was my first time at The Parkman. Property was clean and staff were efficient. My only complaint was that my room did not have a mini-fridge and microwave. The property is undergoing some renovations and I hope they add mini-fridges and microwaves to all their rooms. The restaurant next door is also under renovation so there is no breakfast offering at the current time.”

“We really enjoyed the access to the gas grill and pavillion. We were able to spend valuable family together. We gathered supplies at the local IGA grocery and prepared supper while the kiddo swam in the pool. The lodge is very close to Cades Cove and we were glad to spend time there as well.”

“The room was clean and check in instructions were easy to follow. Breakfast was delicious each day. Parking was fine but sometimes not enough space to park at the end of the day. Not too much they can do about that. The only thing that was lacking was not enough utensils/plates/bowls etc in the room. The view was amazing and the property provided a great deal of privacy. I would definitely recommmend this location and stay here again.”

“Easy, nice parking lot downstairs, the only thing I didn’t like was the elevator. It shook from time to time, so sometimes scary haha but besides that.. great location, great price and good room.”

“Elevator out. Pool was closed. Room smelled musty and moldy. Carpet was gross (musty/moldy). There was no hot water. Visible mold throughout. No real lighting in the room. Breakfast was a continental with the option to microwave pancakes. They did give us another room after they saw all the issues. The new room was much better but still had visible mold and the toilet did not work well (running). This place needs to be closed for a full renovation.”

“this is one of the better places I have stayed in (pigeon forge) staff was real friendly the room was great nice and clean. nice big towels and plenty of them. nothing bad to say about this place even the beds was nice and quite at night no one partying at the pool”

“100% False advertisement it was musty rust and mold .The elevator was out myself and 3 kiddos on the 4th floor ! Got a verification email stating both indoor and outdoor pool were ready and open FALSE both out of service Room has 2 towels and no bath cloths 1/2 roll of toilet paper .Ice machine was held together by duck tape and couldn't even fill the ice bucked .”

“When I arrived, it was very dirty compared to the listing. Multiple piles of trash sitting around the property. Staff was rude when I arrived too. There were many rooms that were full of people who seemed to live at the establishment, leaving doors open, smoking, etc. When I got in my room, there were stains on the mattress, the lock didn’t work because the door cover kept falling off, and the shower was nasty. I left a day early and found another hotel because it was nasty and I didn’t feel……

“Picturesque little valley campsite, right by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (and Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge tourist options). Clean and cozy tent cabins, wonderful staff that were very friendly and welcoming. We had a great time, it was the perfect home base to explore the Smokies and get outdoors and unplug.”

“Convenience location walkable to tons of activities and everything just works. AC works All the elevators work Hot tub works Washer dryer work The little balconies are a nice added touch. I'm glad I stayed here”

“If you are looking for a clean, well maintained, friendly staff hotel than this is the place. The pool area is clean and has several shady spots for just relaxing. The rooms are clean and spacious with a full kitchen set up. The staff is friendly and also keeps the store snacks stocked for purchase. Their is free coffee and cold water in the lobby that is kept full. The parking is free and convenient and very easy to get to the main parkway.”
