“Great place! Clean and super nice staff.”

“I travel to Townsend a couple of times a year to visit GSMNP and have stayed at numerous hotels in that area. This was my first time at The Parkman. Property was clean and staff were efficient. My only complaint was that my room did not have a mini-fridge and microwave. The property is undergoing some renovations and I hope they add mini-fridges and microwaves to all their rooms. The restaurant next door is also under renovation so there is no breakfast offering at the current time.”

“Room was clean. Nice rustic feel to the room with a fake fireplace. Bed was soft. Continental breakfast was served beginning at 7am. I would have liked to have it start a little earlier for those who are entering the park early for hiking.”

“The night attendant who checked us in was exceptional and really set a great tone for the stay. However, a few things fell short for the price: breakfast was underwhelming, the room could use more wall outlets (ideally with USB and USB-C ports), and the bed felt more like a full than a queen.”

“The room was clean and check in instructions were easy to follow. Breakfast was delicious each day. Parking was fine but sometimes not enough space to park at the end of the day. Not too much they can do about that. The only thing that was lacking was not enough utensils/plates/bowls etc in the room. The view was amazing and the property provided a great deal of privacy. I would definitely recommmend this location and stay here again.”

“Elevator out. Pool was closed. Room smelled musty and moldy. Carpet was gross (musty/moldy). There was no hot water. Visible mold throughout. No real lighting in the room. Breakfast was a continental with the option to microwave pancakes. They did give us another room after they saw all the issues. The new room was much better but still had visible mold and the toilet did not work well (running). This place needs to be closed for a full renovation.”

“There was a man that answered the phone and was rude to me not once but twice. I was trying to cancel a reservation that was made and he wouldnt even look into the reservation to help what so ever just advised i call Expedia who it was originally booked through but then changed by this property to a different date so expedia did not have this reservation any longer due to them changing the reservation. He started screaming and hollering at me and was very rude with no help whatsoever. I would……

“I was disappointed with my stay here. The light above the sink and mirror didn’t work, neither did the light mounted over the light that didnt work. The curtain rod was broken and the curtain was held in place with a pin and ponytail holder. The chair at the desk was unstable and fell over without even sitting in it. The television was nice but the tv service was almost impossible to navigate. There was no cold water from the faucet or tub; water temperature ranged from warm to hot. The door……

“Microwave inside was flaked off, was afraid to use it. Beds were hard as a rock. Rooms were supposed to be newly remodeled and it looked like the slums. Supposed to be non smoking and the room smelled like cigarettes, bad. Supposed to have a hair dryer, not one. No ice machines, had to get it from office person, could not even get an ice bucket, gave it to you in a small trash bag. Supposed to have toiletries, that was a little bar of soap. No housekeeping the whole stay. Not even clean towels……

“Picturesque little valley campsite, right by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (and Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge tourist options). Clean and cozy tent cabins, wonderful staff that were very friendly and welcoming. We had a great time, it was the perfect home base to explore the Smokies and get outdoors and unplug.”
