I have lived in the Gladstone, Milwaukie, and Oregon City area most of my life. We have recently moved away and when we come back to visit, this is where we choose to stay. Not many hotels in this area to choose from. This is the nicest one in my opinion. Close to 205, and 99E. Clean rooms, decent breakfast, friendly staff, and all rooms have a view of the Clackamas river. We have stayed many times and will stay many more.

Old property but very well maintained and very clean. Great value compared to prices of hotels in Portland, which is a convenient, short drive away.
There is a pool and a hot tub kept spotlessly clean.
Breakfast is just muffins and rolls, but it is offered every day.
We stayed three nights and were very happy with our stay. We use motel rooms only to spend the night, and prefer to spend money on dining and sightseeing rather than lodging, in this respect this motel was perfect - clean and comfortable place.

We had a pleasant stay in this hotel. For the price we payed ( the same as for the cheapest motel) we had a great service, free wifi, good breakfast, outdoor pool and elevator to the second floor. Rooms entrance are from the inside corridor with a carpet that doesn't smell. Air-conditioner and bathroom facets worked well.
Walking distance to Gustav's restaurant and Monarch hotel with a french restaurant. Free shuttle to Portland airport (20 min) and easy commute to Columbia River spectacular views!
I would stay there again!

Room was little threadbare and housekeeping didn't do a good job around the coffee maker/microware area. Wi-fi service was difficult to connect (but I've seen worse with paid service in higher priced hotels.)
However, nice large room with separate couch seating area. It was fairly quiet even though close to I-405 freeway. The desk staff were very pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was on par with other hotels such as Hampton Inn and Best Western, with scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage, not just a "pastry bar".

Situated southeast of downtown, this area’s funky cafés, secondhand shops, and record stores make for an engaging stroll. The Hawthorne Street, Belmont, and Antique Row districts draw foodies and bargain-hunters alike. Stumptown Coffee Roasters serves as a shrine for local coffee lovers. Other sites of note include the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry and Mt. Tabor, an extinct volcano.
