“In this day and age when corporations/management companies buy up residences and manage them from afar, it's a breath of fresh air to have hosts who are right on site, offering real human interaction, that for me, helps make the stay a much more comfortable experience. I was in town for work and excited to find a reasonably priced space with good ratings and walking distance to the conference. Shame on me for not verifying the ratings. “The space itself is well thought out and felt comfortable. The room was clean and organized. Like all older buildings in Chicago, the air conditioner had mold on it and the hallways were gross - smelled strongly of marijuana. However, I felt safe and the area is beautiful. This place is a great option if you are doing something at the U of Chicago. If you want practical, this is great. If you want shiny, look elsewhere. The host was excellent.”
