"I can't complain the staff i encountered we all friendly event security. I didn't have them clean my room during my stay. But i did ask for fresh towels and got immediately. Rooms clean views lovely easy to get taxis if not driving. If you up for it walking distance from most hot spots and food."
"My family did not get to attend our trip due to flight issues, not the fault of the resort. However, I have spent a week trying to get a hold of them between Expedia support and calling directly to get a refund. They simply refuse to address the issue and have been holding thousands of dollars hostage despite acknowledging we never checked in nor were we there. It should have been as simple as “we’re sorry you had travel issues, we will refund you through Expedia”

"Well first of all, the property is beautiful but needs basic upkeep. Noone cleaned our room the entire stay. I saw trash that was there when I arrived and still there when I left 4 days later. The pool was dirty on arrival and dirty when I left. The service at the restaurant on the property was lacking. The front desk staff were awesome but the rest appeared to dislike tourists."
"The Buccaneer is an old cattle ranch / sugar plantation converted into a beach/ golf resort. A beautiful setting. I prepaid for a room over a three day stay. At check-in, "Ben" said incidental room charges were $75 per day which would have been $225 on my debit card. I checked my account an hour later. My debit card was charged $2,000 for incidental room/ resort charges! What a shock! The room my wife and I stayed in had no hot water two days in a row ( cold showers ). Only on the third day the problem with the hot water heater was fixed. Hot water finally. The room had water stains on the ceiling that hadn't been fixed. The bathtub stopper was broken. Only showers could be taken. The tub stopper was replaced on the last evening I was there but still didn't work. The complementary breakfast was buffet style and everything was cold but the oatmeal ( cold eggs, cold bacon, cold sausage ). In my opinion, if you stay at this resort, be prepared to be over charged for everything. They say you get what you pay for. I paid a lot and got very little for my money. If I come back to St. Croix, I won't be staying at the Buccaneer to be overcharged for a room."
"When I arrived the check in staff was fabulous!! Overall the property is clean and beautiful. Although, it was overall clean my bathroom floor could use a thorough cleaning. Not sure if it is the norm but the response for room service is terribly delayed. Once I reached someone on the line they did provide a quick turnaround for my request. The Westin Resort did not post any events during my stay but maybe I didn’t catch them at a good time. Overall, it was a good experience."
