“Room had a strong, chemical smell, the birds are squeaky and headboard is broken. Can easily hear other rooms around… Overall a bit sketchy ”

“Nice facility for younger folks .. The stairs and walking distances and elevations are not great for senior folks ”

“Had a bad experience hot tub was cold, food was underwhelming and expensive. They have these fireplaces in the rooms and they get extremely hot when on. There is a warning sign but no protection in front of the fireplace. My daughters touched the glass and burned her hand. We had to take her to the ER, not what we planned to do on our vacation.”

“This is quite the gem! I stayed in the king whirlpool room. It was very spacious, well equipped and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The whirlpool is fantastic but I felt self conscious of the noise from the jets. Everything on the property was well cared for and the staff was friendly. And a stone's throw to the beach. I'll be a repeat guest! ”

“There was ants in my room and on the bathroom counter. They switched me rooms, that room had ants also, and a soap bar with hairs on it behind the bathroom door . The manager still persisted that we pay for the rooms. Only a $65 credit was given. The manager refused to talk with me.”

“I really liked the view from my room. It was very nice to be able to step out of the porch and go straight to the beach. The location itself is great and very convenient. Breakfast was simple and included items like coffee, yogurt, cereal, protein bars, granola bars, and muffins—good for something quick and easy. However, there was one thing that left a bad impression. I booked this stay two months in advance specifically choosing a first-floor room because I was traveling with a baby and an……

“Lovely place in quiet setting with just the sound of the ocean waves to lull us to sleep. Hospitable and attentive staff. Comfortable room with expansive view to ocean. Guest rooms in different corners of the lodge to give privacy. Generous breakfast. Pathway directly to beautiful beach. Would stay again if back in Newport area. ”
