"I always feel welcomed when I stay here, and I swear by this hotel for all my visits to Pittsburgh. The only sad thing about moving to Mt. Lebanon will be that I no longer stay at this hotel, but I wouldn't be surprised if this hotel was a factor in my coming to live here. "

Cottage near Pittsburgh - Pet Friendly, No Pet/Cleaning Fees, Secluded & Quiet

Dog-friendly Pittsburgh weekend

"Many places advertise they are dog-friendly but really just mean they allow your dogs to accompany you; the Carnegie Cottage truly welcomes your pups. Dog bowls were waiting with a little welcome treat as well as a blanket and toys for them. The patio also had a lead so they could explore the yard freely. As this is a typical Pittsburgh house ( I would know since I grew up very close to here), a senior dog may have an issue with the steepness of the steps but my 13 year old boxer did fine as long as I was in front or in back of here. An additional plus is that Carnegie Park is very close by. We walked our dogs there in the morning and discovered a dog park there- what an unexpected treat! The location is fantastic! Easy access to the highways that lead to the city as well as suburbs but the house is surrounded by a wooded area so you would never know how close you are. We would definitely stay here again!"
