“The staff was really kind and super helpful with anything I needed, however, the rooms definitely need work. This was probably the grossest bathroom I’ve stayed in at any hotel. The showers had hair in them, the bathtub was slippery and dirty and the shower heads definitely need updating. For $260 a night and given the location, I would’ve hoped for better rooms. The balcony was also dirty and the screen door was broken. The fridge was also really dirty. Besides the cleanliness…I enjoyed the……

“A very fun experience and a nice view from the top after 220 steps.”

“It was a beautiful condo. Was centrally located. We did walk the "direct beach access" path to discover it takes you over to another street, then you walk down about a block to get to the beach access. It was fairly close but the word direct was misleading. The use of the kitchen and laundry was a plus. The pool wasn't open for the season but it looked clean and had a nice sitting area around it. The water pressure was bad in the master bath. We used the hallway shower only. We didn't call……

“Beautiful place!!”

“This place is always perfect for us. Thank you!”

“everything was wonderful”

“Okay the property is very expensive for the price that I paid. So definitely no go and will not suggest this to anyone. Additionally, the host is very polite on the face of it, but is really unfair when it comes to the problem solving. Like literally, the bathroom knob was broken and the host is like IDC if someone come into the bathroom while you poop.”

“Very spacious home with everything you would ever need. We enjoyed our stay!”

“The property is a lovely, quiet destination where you can relax and enjoy beautiful scenery. This is a a nature-lover’s delight as you can marvel at waterfront sunrise/sunsets, bird watch, fish, and cruise around on your kayaks (and that’s just at the property — Kitty Hawk beach is an easy 30 ride away). The renovations throughout and ample room sizes makes this an excellent choice for families. My husband and I plan to buy a set of those Turkish Cotton towels! They were an added bonus after a……

“It was a great 4th of July in Corolla. The location was perfect. The size is small but efficient.”

“Great location! Just a few minute drive to the beach.”

“We had an absolutely lovely stay at The Black Stallion. It was the perfect location for our company holiday party, and our team were blown away by how perfect everything was. Thank you so much to the entire Black Stallion team that helped make this possible. They made the entire process from start to finish so easy, and helped us create a really special event. I would totally recommend this property to anyone interested in coming to the OBX area, and I'd love to stay there again in the future! ”

“This property was comfortable and clean, with easy parking, and a quiet street. We chose it because of the balcony overlooking the water, we enjoyed sitting there in evening and morning, watching the boats go by.”

“We rented both The Kildare Cottage and The Carriage House, wow such wonderful properties. They were both excellent, we had everything we needed. Our Host was great, we messaged several times for some details and they responded so quickly. They were very accommodating and the homes were just great. Having these units on our vacation certainly made our stay an outstanding one. Can't say enough good things about this whole rental. Wonderful places! I would rent these again, without question. Thank……

“Super small rooms, couldn’t tell which was “master” bedroom. TVs/remotes so confusing, didn’t get to use TV all week - no big deal but with kids would have been nice in the morning. Further walk to beach than expected. Clean room and great host!”

“I have had the most amazing stay here. The house smelled wonderful. Super clean and truly one of the best hosts. Calm, relaxing, so many things to look at and enjoy. A little outdoor oasis as well. It makes you want to come again and again. Thank you Tracy!!!!!”
