"The plumbing under the kitchen sink was broken which made the kitchen sink unusable. Tap water was not potable and there was no mention of this in the description when we booked. One pillow was missing a pillow case. Some of the dishes in the cabinet were dirty. "

"Location was perfect to avoid Hilo traffic it you frequent to Volcano National Park or Mauna Kea or Kona. Kelly is an amazing host and her breakfast was amazing that personalized vegan/ vegetarian preferences as well. Kitchen was well stocked that guests can use for preparing their own meals. Hot tub is well kept and open till 10 pm. "

"The checkin was only 1 hour long. Way too short. There were dead bugs all over the pillow and blankets. When the front office was told of this-they stated thwere was bug spray there and to just "brush off" the dead bugs. Totally unacceptable."

"We adored the little rainbow falls rainforest cabin. We have been travelling for about two weeks and it was time for a short retreat before continuing our adventure in the Hawaiian islands. Luckily for us, the volcano erupted, and we got to sit on the front porch listening to the rumble in the distance after having seen the start of the eruption that morning at the rim restaurant before they evacuated everyone."

"A very unusual place not a Holiday Inn so don’t stay there if that’s what you are looking for. Staff is great chat in kitchen while cutting up fresh fruit. Knowledgeable about local places and customs. Never slept so good ocean breeze fresh rain and frog singing"

"Beds are so comfortable. Lovely grounds , spa is great with hot tub and sauna that you can reserve for private time. Birds can be noisy but you get used to them and actually look forward to hearing and seeing them around the property. "

"Rooms were clean and comfortable. Kitchen area could have been cleaner especially the dirty refrigerator. Excellent location to National park. Few restaurants in the area but very good food. For the price, I would visit again. "
