Best Western Historic Frederick

Best Western Historic Frederick

8/10 Good
"The hotel was overall good. My main comment is about the breakfast. It was supposed to start at 6:30am. We got there a few minutes later and the lights were off but there were already guests eating the cold items. The warm food (and the light for the room) arrived at 6:45-6:50am. While this might sound like a minor thing, we were planning on hitting the road asap but wanted to get a warm breakfast as well."

"The rooms are just gorgeous. The beds are comfortable and the whole atmosphere is great there. We enjoyed the large hot tub several times throughout the day and night, while taking in the beautiful views and birdwatching. We really enjoyed the private, screened balcony as well. Every part of the property was enjoyable and the staff are top notch. The breakfast was phenomenal!! Tina is an awesome innkeeper! She made us feel so comfortable and right at home. This really has become our new favorite place for a short getaway. Amadeo the african grey parrot, and Truman the frenchie were such a treat too!! I foresee us returning quite regularly for as long as it's on the map!!"

"Pros- close to activities, cute home, large outdoor area, supplied coffee & variety of shower soaps. Great water pressure in shower. Fire pit was nice, need to take kindling. Bathrobes provided. Cons- stairs are treacherous. Railing is not attached properly. Weeds are taking over property. Walkway is hard to walk on. AC unit works but VERY loud right beside bed. We were only allowed 1 towel & 1 washcloth for 3 night stay. I asked for more, was told no. Had to sweep patio and clean outdoor table before using. Could use more shelves, small table in shower & bedroom. Plenty of spoons & forks, but, only 2 knives. Maybe someone stole some??? Nice for 2 people, but, would be very tight for 4."
