“Border Point Lodge was the perfect fall (MEA break) getaway for our family of four (2 boys ages 2.5 & 7) another couple (55ish). Owners were super communicative but also “chill” if that makes sense. The pics online are exactly what you pull up to! Bistro string lights welcome you to a cozy main living space. I appreciated that there weren’t fragrance plug ins or heavily fragranced cleaning supplies used either! The online check-in portal was useful and informative. You tube video links to……

“This was exactly what we were looking for! Very quiet and lovely view of the lake. A peaceful retreat. The cabin was clean and well appointed. A marvelous time getting away from all the hubbub. We enjoyed our stay.”

“Very communicative host, very clean, beautiful and inviting cabin and everything was above an average stay from the towel softness and quality to the cozy bedding and pillows and just all the extras on the property it’s truly an amazing stay and I would recommend to anyone and will hopefully get the chance to stay again soon! ”

“Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The house worked very well for our family group of 15 & the location was very convenient to Crosslake. However we arrived after the first snowfall & the driveway & steps were not cleared. You have to climb the steps to access the house & they were slippery. We could not find a shovel & the access to the room above the garage was not obvious when nothing was cleared. Also, the garbage service had not picked up the garbage from the previous week. These issues were……

“We had an excellent weekend! We used the place for a family snowshoeing trip with adults and little kids! Talia was very responsive and great to work with. The lower level had in floor heat they weren’t wrong when it said it takes a while. It never got warm on its own, and thankfully we found the space heater. With little kids this was concerning. Otherwise the place was great and would recommend. ”

“The first thing I noticed was the entrance. Dirty, peeling painted chairs and a huge pile of some metal pieces stacked up on the corner. Back and front entrances looked liked they hadn’t been swept all summer. Dead, overgrown weeds all around the house. Walked in and the musty smell was overbearing. Couldn’t open windows because they were painted shut. It is basically a demo house waiting to happen. I had to get a different place to stay. Don’t waste your money. ”
