“I truly enjoyed my stay. The room was cozy and comfortable, it's a very quiet area convenient to stores and food. There's a walking trail behind the hotel, and indoor pool. Staff was very friendly and eager to help at every turn. If I'm ever near Portland, MI again I'll definitely stay here.”

“We got this room last minute. We did come in late at night but the staff wasn’t to helpful. Had the front desk closed off and not just late at night, but still in the morning at ten to nine. There was actually a fed ex guy there waiting for someone to take the package along with a couple other customers trying to figure out how to get a receipt for their stay. Kitchen set up would have been better if it had utensils and cookware. Fridge worked so that was the plus for us. It was not clean. Hair……

“Really out dated the shower was spilling water on to the floor the toilet took for Everet to fill up the tv was so old seems like when flat screen first came out”

“Gary was very nice and helpful! I recommend contacting him for shuttle to and from the airport though since Google maps doesn't know how to find the house yet. I recommend coming here if you plan to stay for around a week since the sights are so pretty. My only critique is that I wish the bathtub was prepped for use but he wasn't expecting me to want to use it since we've entered the warmer season.”

“Price is relatively cheap. Rooms are large enough. Nice breakfast. Good service. Pillows have strange smell, some stains on quilt. Found a spider on the nightstand.”

“We highly recommend! My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The inn is very beautiful-a historical treasure. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The four poster bed was so comfortable! Breakfast was delicious. We loved it!”

“Overall our experience was great. The swimming pool was clean and fun for my husband and six year old. The room was clean and quiet. The water pressure was fantastic. I woul not hesitate to stay here in the future.”

“The wild goose and was beyond what I ever imagined it was such a nice quiet quaint place to take a nice break and just relax I got to enjoy it with my girlfriend for my birthday Al was amazing and as was the young gentleman that made my breakfast in the morning Paul maybe? I woke up at 6am from a random alarm on accident my fault. I'm terrible with names in the morning unfortunately but they were both so friendly and amazing and Yogi the dog was awesome. But not only were the rooms amazingly……

“This place was disgraceful! My daughter and I pulled up and the place was scary! It is located in a remote area, the place smelled awful, and when we got inside it looked gross and dog was in the lobby and growled at my daughter! Why was there a dog in the lobby anyways? We didn’t even get in the room we cancelled and found another hotel! Do not stay here!”

“Very clean room, super nice staff. The breakfast was top notch (try the lemon or churro flavored waffles, they were outstanding!) It’s a nice quiet hotel and I felt very comfortable there. When I visit my family in East Lansing, I will definitely be coming back to this hotel.”
