![Located within a few hours drive from Las Vegas is this horseshoe shaped meander of the Colorado River. After a bit of a hike, we got to see the horseshoe bend. What an astounding beauty it was!

Also extremely nerve-wracking because it is a merciless 1000 feet drop from the canyon cliffs, and there are no rails at the edge of the cliffs. Being acrophobic made it worse! But it is an experience of a lifetime and I’m glad I mustered all of my courage (I have very little of it), prayed all the Gods in the world (although I believe there is only God) and peeked at the formation of the horseshoe bend among the deep gorges.

To get an elaborate view of the horseshoe bend, I lay down on my stomach and literally crawled on the canyon to reach the edges. The only thing I hoped is, the cliffs were strong enough to hold my weight. “The host (O.C) was very welcoming and even came by to introduce himself. He made sure we had everything needed for our stay. The lake house was the perfect get-a-way. It was the perfect spot for quiet and relaxation. The amenities ensured we had all the comforts of home. The lake house was clean, and I loved the decor. It was great fishing from the pier and watching the eagles across the lake. The scenery was absolutely beautiful! We will definitely be back.”

“Everything was as it should be, the lake was low, but we were still able to make the dock work. Beautiful Lake loved being able to look out or sit on the deck with my coffee. We did not get to take advantage of all the property has to offer as we were here for the Logan Parks Foundation Fishing tournament. They kept us busy. ”
