"Very nice property. We had a very nice room with a large balcony overlooking the lake. Quite beautiful. Stayed here to attend our grandson’s baseball tournament in Cooperstown so it was fairly convenient. Everything is in excellent shape with many new upgrades it seems. Only drawback was no close dining without driving 15 minutes into town. I do recommend this motel though. "

"I found this to be very nice, quiet. The room was spacious and very clean. The refrigerator and microwave was a great convenience. Coffee was avaliable in the office in the morning. The view from the cute outdoor was beautiful. "

"Everything is a 5 minutes drive away to Walmart to price chopper. You name it they have it, the restaurant selections are good too to fast food to bars and sit down places. "

"So cute! Only a few blocks away from the lake. The Dollar General is 30 seconds walk. While yes there is a fire dept the tones aren't bad at all. The fire pit is awesome, but bring your bug spray!"

"Here's the run down: this is a relatively well kept property for it's age (150 yrs old!). It's a very small 2 story house with a quite large backyard. The exterior views of the house are from the backyard although the living room faces the front.Parking is limited as the garage was not accessible to host a minivan. There is only 1 bathroom which is on the 1st floor with the sleeping quarters primarily on the 2nd floor. If you are older then not having a bathroom within a few steps of your bedroom may be a significant challenge.The bathroom and adjacent laundry room are well appointed. The washer and dryer are brand new as is the bathroom furnishings. Wifi was excellent. Although we didn't do any cooking a microwave would have been nice for restaurant leftovers, etc.There is no "view" from the living room per se so this house makes for a very convenient "crash pad" if you are in town for some outdoors fun or the hall of fame or a baseball camp as it's just at the edge of what I'd call a convenient distance (30 min) to Cooperstown. Not sure I would have enjoyed the stay if I was planning to spend any significant time at the property beyond sleeping. Although I definitely could have gotten work done with the great Wifi and sleepy neighborhood vibes.Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed our stay and the price was comparatively affordable. It was a great place to rest our heads in between days at Cooperstown Dream Park baseball camp. I'd definitely stay there again."

"Lovely well maintained Victorian home on a corner lot. Plenty of parking. Swimming pool and landscaping were nice. Two block walk to watch trains. Large dining and livingroom. The only issue that became a large issue is that there are only two mini splits for air conditioning. The dining/livingroom and one bedroom upstairs had air conditioning. The remaining bedrooms, while beautiful, were stifling hot. The kitchen was small but well appointed and I was able to bake a wedding cake easily but the heat was overwhelming without air conditioning. My husband slept on the couch due to the heat upstairs. I wish the listing had mentioned the lack of air conditioning. The house is really quite beautiful. Placing free standing or window AC units in every bedroom would have saved the trip. We purchased 3 fans at Walmart (only 2 miles down the road) to move the air but was not much help when the rooms were 85-90 degrees. Bummer! "
