“Sadly we only had a short stay and didn't get to take advantage of the wonderful amenities available to us between our short stay and rain. The grounds were lovely, the room was clean and well sized, everything was as advertised. There is a lot to do on site including daily scheduled activities. We would choose to stay here again if we return to the area.”

“We stayed in Room 3, if the other rooms were as great as ours then it would be hard to beat this location. The view of the river and sunset were awesome. The restaurant service would be hard to beat anywhere and the food was excellent. All in all we loved our stay at Surry Seafood Inn.”

“This is top of the line, first-class resort. My jaw dropped and I fell in love. What a great campus, facilities, and rooms.”

“The bed was very uncomfortable coming from New York to Virginia I expected the bed to be comfortable but other than that everything was amazing”

“A new building designed in the style of colonial era homes. Larry and Patricia were terrific hosts. Breakfast was made to order and amazing, including biscuits made according to Larry’s grandmother’s recipe. Comfy bed, plush towels. The dimmer switches for the lights are a great touch. Plenty of parking, nice large backyard with tons of birds. Remote location so it’s nice and quiet. Absolutely would stay here again! ”

“I loved the place because everything was close by”

“The lobby had trash overflowing on the floor by the door as soon as you walked in. The outside of the hotel was not maintained. Bushes overgrown and the outside looked as it hadn't been cleaned or kept up in years. Water damage on the wall behind the receptionist in the lobby. Then they said they didn't serve breakfast in the breakfast bar and that only a light breakfast of muffins and juice would be served in the lobby in the morning. Not enough parking spots so they were having guests park in……

“Overall the property was clean. Fun for kids. But in the meantime. It was one thing that I didn't like.my room was in the 1st floor. Around 11 pm I was tired. Went to my room to get some rest. But I couldn't due to kids running too hard on the top of my room. What realy drive me nuts is that it last for over an hour. And no one said anything about it .they should have some noise policy. Really too bad”

“This was one of the most disgusting hotels that our family has stayed at. Property is dirty with stains on walls and the carpets everywhere you look. There was the smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways. The room floor was dirty and I did not want to walk on it without shoes on. The water from the tap had an odd smell as well. I will never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone else. We still enjoyed our trip to Williamsburg and didn’t let the hotel experience ruin it for……
