“The room and facilities are old looking and small. Especially for the bathroom. But the beds are clean and tidy and provide car parking. ”

“There are not enough places to eat here and not enough staff to service everyone. It would take a half an hour to get a cup of coffee in the morning. The valet had one person working and the line was 30 minutes long. This place has a bunch of 18 year olds running restaurants that are not well trained.”

“first of all there is no elevator which seems strange, as you have to carry your bags . secondly there was no air conditioning. the room was really hot and humid. we could not open the windows as it was right on the road with lot of traffic noise. a small fan was provided which was not helpful”

“Perfect location to hop on/off the Hunters Quay ferry and an easy ride into Dunoon on quiet roads or a shared path. The room was large and well furnished and everything worked as it should. I’d booked two nights to stay but booked them separately as my plans had changed. The staff were happy to make sure I kept the same room for the second night. Was able to keep my bike safely locked up outside the front entrance too so that’s a bonus.”

“Our room was spacious and was cleaned thoroughly every day whilst we were there.Staff were all helpful and all appeared to know their job role and responsibilities.Breakfast was initially from a menu but was changed to a buffet on our last two mornings.Both ways were fine and there was a very good choice of hot and cold food. The bar was well stocked and staff were pleasant and attentive. We ate in the bar each night and the food was very good with several choices and priced very reasonably. The……

“This place is pretty tired and no effort is made to make it look less tired than it is. The staff gives lots of good chat and is perfectly friendly but there was not much substance behind it. The milk I was promised for my room never materialised, room service was left in the hallway all day, etc. a charge for coffees at breakfast was added without being told there was a charge for « specialty ». Overall quite disappointing.”

“Stayed in a single room for 1 night and was very happy with the room. A lot more spacious than I anticipated. The bathroom looked new/renovated and worked well. Single bed was comfortable for the night. Staff were super friendly when checking in and out. Close to the train station (2 min walk) which was perfect for the purpose of my stay.”
