“Southern charm, historic, with great hospitality. Staff was helpful, courteous and friendly. Each floor had it's own history from its founding to the Civil War and beyond. Rooms had some original features along with modern bathrooms and amenities. Full complimentary breakfasts and late afternoon wine and cheese offerings. I highly recommend The Marshall House. ”

“On arrival the lady at the front desk was very helpful and friendly, the lobby is lovely and parking is right outside which is a plus as this is right on the Main Street across from the river walk, location was excellent and within walking distance of the river walk and downtown, there is an onsite bar and restaurant with a complimentary drink to use before 10pm on the night of our stay. “Absolutely loved it! Wish we stayed more than one night. Staff was amazing. We were an hour or so down the road and we got a call from the front desk. The cleaning staff found my wife had forgotten her diamond pendant and chain behind. They are shipping it to us. Definitely above and beyond. The common areas were great. We met some other guests that were quite friendly and entertaining. Will definitely come back and stay a long weekend next time we are in town. ”

“The apartment was so nice and modern and clean. Had everything you would need nice size refrigerator. Only problem was the thermostat kept changing because it was preset. So I had to keep resetting it down. I finally got into the setting and set them all to what I wanted and that seemed to work”

“Our experience was amazing. We enjoyed wonderful breakfasts with eggs, bacon or sausage, fresh fruit, and a biscuit, Belgian waffle or pancake every morning. We had cookies waiting for us in the afternoon and wine and appetizers in the evening. We never made it to the port wine and snack before bedtime. The inn is magical with it recently updated decor. The staff bed over backwards to accommodate, and the location is close to historical sites. We can’t wait to return. ”

“The entire experience was great! As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Kevin who helped unload our luggage. He was very hospitable and amazing. “This B&B is very beautiful. We stayed in the Live Oak room on the second flooor and it was lovely, with a large furnished balcony . Bed very comfortable. Met a few couples from different places and had nice conversations over a sherry wine and happy hour bites ( delicious) every night sitting at the living room with the cozy fireplace. Weather was cold ( Jan 6-9) . The breakfast in the mornings were very tasty , especially the French toast. Service was very good. We found parking right in front……

“The corner room is noisy at night- there were many people gathering near the hotels till 1 or 2 am and you could hear them. There was an Irish bar across from the hotels which you would hear the music playing at night. There was coffee stain in the carpet of the room I stayed. The hotel has good hospitality and the bed was comfortable. ”
