            Wonderful time

Thank you to Randy and Suzanne (and Harris) for their hospitality. We were greeted right on time and ferried over to the property and were helped with our bags from the dock to the cottage. The cottage is new and well stocked. We didn't need to bring those linens! The lake was clear and there was lots of use of the kayaks, paddle boat and fishing boat. My father is not fully able bodied so found the stairs from the dock to the cottage a little challenging but Suzanne was very gracious in providing us an extra ferry in the pontoon boat back to the "mainland" as he wasn't able to use the fishing boat. The cottage had a ground floor bedroom too which is helpful. There is also a maritime toilet in the cottage for when it was a worry to venture outside. I was a little apprehensive about the solar power and the outdoor facilities beforehand. We only needed to use the gasoline generator on the last day and it couldn't have been easier. The outhouse was actually a lot nicer than some of the regular bathrooms I have visited and the outdoor shower was a neat experience. No apprehension required. If you're looking for a private, quiet getaway this is definitely one to put on your consideration list!

              Buck Lake Property

Lovely new cottage with great views of the lake. The owners were very accommodating and helpful supplying things like the boat and barbecue. It was a short walk down to the water which didn't have a Sandy beach but was very swimmable.
