“Super great hotel with awesome amenities. We were blown on away at how clean and nice the front desk man was. We will be back to stay here next time we are passing thru.”

“Our only complaint was the limited toilet paper. When we arrived to the motel, all we had was about a fourth of a roll left and no stock of extras. However, when a staff member asked if we needed anything the next morning, she was very quick to give us a new roll. We enjoyed the Roku that was provided in the room. Parking was adequate and right outside our motel room. The location of the motel was conveniently right next to Casey’s and just a quick walk down the street from the town amenities.……

“The sheets were clean but not much else. Bathroom was full of mold, faucets installed backwards, rough towels, cracked and peeling cabinets.”

“Room was not the greatest in condition. The smoking area was just outside our window. We could smell everything that was being smoked out there. However, for this price it is worth it as you get to enjoy a nice pool without a resort fee. As for the internet, arcade, and restaurant. The restaurant is nice with plenty of options and has a bar. The arcade however is not very good and some of the candy was expired. Internet service was touch n go and would sometimes not have any connection. Overall……

“Second year we have stayed there for a local family reunion. No complaints or issues. Well cared for property, helpful staff. decent breakfast and conveniently located to Ankeny/north Des Moines properties. Will stay again,”

“The 8+ rating on Expedia must have been based on stays loooooong ago. The property itself was clearly uncared-for, operating on a shoestring budget. We arrived around 9pm after a long day traveling (like most arrivals to a budget motel I’m sure). Along with another family, we were “greeted” by an empty front desk. We waited for about 20 minutes for the clerk to return to the desk so we could check in and finally just get to our room. Clearly, staffing levels are an issue here. The young lady……
