We arrived in the evening with young children and were caught off guard by the 9 PM front desk closure. While this may be mentioned in a same-day email, it is not clearly presented when booking—when guests are actually making their decision. We were also charged extra for our children despite the listing stating that children under 12 stay free. We were told this depends on how the booking is made, but that distinction was not clearly disclosed upfront. The “free continental breakfast” was extremely limited (one small item per person, monitored), which did not match reasonable expectations. Lastly, there was constant loud noise from the room above, and when we reached out, no one responded. Due to these issues, we left early and did not stay the second night. Overall, the experience did not match the listing, and policies that affect your stay should be clearly stated at booking—not after." Our favorite part!I want to mention first off "everything" was very clean! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook. Plus, plenty of breakfast frozen microwavable food and shelf stable food. The coffee maker is a Krieg coffee maker and pods were provided. The refrigerator had milk, butter and a variety of condiments for the guests. Like a continental breakfast at a hotel. The bed we slept in was very comfortable and cozy. The bathroom was stocked with things you might have forgotten, and the towels were plush and soft. We hiked the Fossil Creek trail, the Anasazi Ruins trail and climbed Strawberry mountain. Most of the restaurants were not open the days we were there except the "The Early Bird Cafe" on our way home which has the best biscuits and gravy. Shopping was also limited due to being "off season". We visited Tymeless Antiques, Pine Strawberry thrift shop and my favorite Pine Creek Canyon Lavender Farm."
