"Staff were welcoming and friendly. I have stayed in this hotel on a previous occasion so I am aware it is a bit out of the centre of Edinburgh but the tram stop is a 5 minute walk and is 15 minutes tram ride into Edinburgh. I did find the hotel bedding and pillows to be quite low quality, but it is a more budget hotel. Apparently there was a lot of young people staying from Cheerleader competition and there was a lot of them running around. I had to call reception at midnight to complain about the noise. Very disappointed that Novotel no longer provides free parking for guests but now charges £15 per night. It is cheaper to book directly through the parking company "Your Parking Space"."

"Myself and my friend stayed on Friday 21st March for one night . We love coming to the Dakota to get away for a nice break and catch up. As always from the minute we checked in it was superb. Chloe who checked us in was so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Our Deluxe Suite was perfection and had everything you could ever need with the most beautiful view overlooking the water and bridges. Our room service food was delicious . When we checked out this morning , I did not get the kind woman’s name but also a credit to the Dakota Hotel.
