Don't book this hotel. Be warned.Posted Mar 21, 2017 on Hotels
We stay for 1 night before returning home. The hotel structure and style is nice. They have a restaurant and it only serves breakfast. The room was clean but the beds were firm. The blankets and comforters were too thin. When I made my reservation I asked for a quiet room and even though the hotel was empty they decided to place me on the noisy part of the hotel. I placed my complaint and the receptionist said "oh you were in the left side of the hotel" meaning he acknowledge having a previous problem with noise. The walls are too thin and you will be able to hear the guest in other rooms, or outside. The building is placed next to other houses and businesses. I could hear the dogs barking all night and people yelling outside. It was just awful. We left the room at 6 am and had no sleep and when my husband as for coffee they told him NO. The coffee was already made but they did not serve breakfast until 7 am. Save your money and book another hotel. This one was a waste of money.

One night is enoughPosted Mar 16, 2017
Pros: The shuttle driver.
Cons: Multilingual staff? I believe the only person who spoke English was the shuttle driver. Good thing we spoke enough Spanish to understand directions.
Location: Definitely take in the night life at Marimba Park.
We booked this hotel because we had an early flight. The best thing about the place was the shuttle driver - would definitely give him a 10 out of 10. The second best was the proximity to Marimba Park. Yes there is a restaurant but it was closed when we arrived and didn't open until we had already left. The occupancy rate was low so there wasn't much noise outside the room. Security - well there was no safe so your possessions are left at the mercy of a lock that could easily be picked with a hairpin and not even a chain on the door while you are sleeping. If we would have had more. Time in Tuxtla, we definitely would have looked for something else but for the price we paid it was okay. Certainly one night was enough.

Just okPosted Feb 20, 2017
The room was way too small. And you have to ask for everything. Only sheets were on the bed.. so, if you want to blanket you have to ask for it in addition to other things. Oh nice staff.

Great service by staff. Rooms are small. Cable TV had limited channels. Breakfast buffet was okay, but too expensive.

Friendly and cleanPosted Feb 28, 2016 on Hotels
Affordable, comfortable and clean hotel. Close to Marimba Square and Central Ave. Staff was friendly and helpful; some spoke a little English. Barking dogs at night and roosters in the morning.

Not greatPosted Nov 24, 2014 on Hotels
Very bad beds, and lots of cleaning solvent used throughout the day. However, the service was very friendly and helpful. I would not stay here again, especially given the price.

Great service, poor locationPosted Aug 18, 2014 on Hotels
Nothing wrong with this hotel, but the neighborhood is pretty sketchy ( and I live in Mexico). Hotel staff are very accommodating. This was just an overnight stay, so I was satisfied.

Traveling in MexicoPosted Jul 5, 2014
The hotel and the room have great charm. It's very close to the center of the city. You can walk there in a couple minutes. Everything was cool.

Warm conscious service, clean room, new beds, room service with small restaurant on premises, central patio, free WiFi and cable TV. Neighborhood was not as good as hotel but walked at night to a restaurant several blocks distant, by a Park and was not molested. For a night before a flight it fit my requirements nicely.
