“The room and facilities are old looking and small. Especially for the bathroom. But the beds are clean and tidy and provide car parking. ”

“The room was clean. The bathroom has been renovated with good shower pressure. However, the beds were quite uncomfortable. Note that there is no elevator on the premises - not a big deal for us but that may not be the case for everyone. Lastly, the breakfast is overpriced. I would probably go out if I were to return. At 15 pounds each, that converts to just under $30 can. Even in overpriced Toronto, that’s expensive.”

“Staff did the best they could and were extremely friendly but the overall stay was a big let down. We quite understood that our room would not be ready before the specified time but, as the website had mentioned a snack bar/deli we thought we'd spend some time there. Unfortunately it had closed some time ago. Although there was comfortable seating in the reception area it was freezing. We subsequently discovered that the hotel is only heated for an hour or two in the morning and again in the……

“Lovely central rooms very quiet and right on pier behind seafood shack and across from westherspoons side door. Air conditioning a must as no windows. Parking we thought would be a nightmare but got on street at other side of ferry terminal free parking. Got new towels and toilet roll from cleaner on request no problem”

“Large central hotel with limited parking, excellent breakfast. The Hotel in general looks tired and a bit frayed at the edges. The room was clean, though the door rattled a bit, which we solved by propping a heavy bag against it. The room was very warm even with the radiator off.”

Staying for 2 days but the room was not serviced. 2. Breakfast, in a brown bag appeared on the first day only. 3. Thanks to Connor, who took an item of luggage upstairs. There was no lift and the back stairs were a challenge to my wife who is waiting for an ankle operation. 4. I would not be in a hurry to recommend the Whisky……
