“This property is like staying in Colonial Williamsburg. It is very old. The floors creek, the pipes sing in the night and there is little to stop any noise coming from other rooms. Beware the nails sticking out of the ancient hardwood floors! This is not very accessible if you have walking issues. Lots of uneven pathways. The drive out there is scary at night! Do not take the fastest route to get there from the airport- take the straightest way. But the place is exceptionally quiet and peaceful.……

“Kate was super helpful getting me a quiet room in a nearly full occupancy situation. Check in and check out was excellent. Friendly staff, clean room, abundant breakfast with variety choices. No daily room cleaning which was fine for me. Convenient location. I took off one star due to the squeaking mattress. Every time when I got up or turned in bed, it always made loud noises. Hopefully they will correct that soon.”

“Nice property. Beautiful view! Porches are great. Being a basement apartment made it difficult to rest due to host up doing construction or something quite early ior late 4 a.m. however you look at the situation. Hot tub was on the upstairs deck which wasn’t very private even though there were curtains on either end. The house windows were still available to be seen by anyone who chanced to look. There were many nice conveniences such as bath robes, candles, toiletries , coffee, frozen food……

“My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the host's house. It was decorated for Christmas and we enjoyed that as we celebrated the holiday there. It was roomy and comfortable with lots of spaces to stretch out. Our teens had fun in the basement watching tv and playing games. Our adults had fun visiting in the upstairs in the living room with the comfortable couches and around the big dining room table. We enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen. “Another mom and I traveled from Texas and shared this location to travel daily to Danville to see our college kids swim at Centre College. This was such a cute, cozy, and roomy cottage. It advertised as a 2 bedroom, but there are actually 3 bedrooms! The heat worked well (it was cold). The snacks and coffee were greatly appreciated. The cottage was clean and spacious! And, although we didn't have time to watch much TV, I was impressed that they had a TV in all three bedrooms and in the living……

“The Hager Hideaway is in the middle of everything and is a quiet, restorative oasis on its own. The 1830's farmhouse is absolutely charming and very cozy. We could have spent the entire weekend exploring Harrodsburg, but Bardstown is only an hour away via scenic back roads (less if via the Bluegrass Parkway), so we HAD to spend a day there.
