“The staff was always helpful and willing to go above and beyond. The Dive Bar not only has great food, but offers a wonderful view of the St Clair River for fun freighter watching. They did a wonderful job renovating this hotel while keeping a charming historic feel. I'll be back.”

“The room was clean but needed some TLC. (Paint on doors chipped, missing cover on access to hot & cold water, two front door locks etc) Lots of stairs to get to your room. My sister doesn't get around easy so called to check if there was an elevator and was told yes to two of the three floors, got there and no elevator but a choice of stairs or walking up a long ramp to your room. Breakfast was nonexistant. Packaged muffins, packaged cinnabun, coffee all served in the office with one table”

“Room seemed dated and wall paper was peeling. Linens definitely need replaced white towels were not white. Jacuzzi wasn’t clean. Not impressed w this stay.”

“The check-in process is very combursome and confusing. The lockbox next to the fire extinguisher doesn't make sense when there are multiple fire extinguishers on site. If you advertise a sofa sleeper it should be made up or at the very least there should be sheets, pillows and blankets inside the unit. Fortunately, the Days in Staff was very helpful. ”

“The property was well represented. It was very clean. The check-in process was very smooth. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was nicely redone it was a bit small and the Barn Door did not open all the way making the doorway difficult for larger people. I would recommend providing an extra set of towels. I would certainly book there again when I have another opportunity to be in Port Huron”
