“The property is located by the water and near the Water Limousine taxi-which is amazing!!! Matthias is very knowledgeable about the area and took us all around the Golden Triangle by boat. The best way to experience the lake. Hotel Dulac did have working a/c and was clean. Not a 4 star but for the area, acceptable. Outside my window was the town “square” and I took a video at 10:42 pm of the crowd and piano playing. If you want total peace and quiet this is not the place for you.”

“The best parts of our suite were definitely the air conditioning and the location. It was extremely convenient for accessing the ferry, nearby shopping, restaurants, and everything around the main square. That convenience does come with some noise, since the property is right by the central square where people are eating and drinking until late in the evening. However, we found the outside noise fairly tolerable. What was much more disruptive was the noise from inside the property. Every time……

“Just a good overall value stay, it's quite a far walk to the waterfront and town, not too bad walking downhill but walking uphill all the way back in teh summer months isn't ideal if you're wearing dinner wear. Decent views, rooms are dated and smallish, breakfast and staff are great though, there is a pool which is great and the onsite parking is a bonus as well. I'd stay again but if you want a true Lake Como experience you will want to splurge and get a waterfront property”

“Pleasant staff and the hotel and rooms felt quite traditional and nice. Great and large balcony for our ground floor room with incredible views. Nice little pool and great buffet breakfast. If you are coming from the ferry, access is 20 mins walk via steep cobbled streets which was challenging and we (I) had to carry our suitcases as the wheels were in danger of coming off! Decent parking by the look of it but consider a cab if you’re on foot. Over all a very pleasant stay.”

“Our holiday in Menaggio was wonderful because of the beautiful destination, less so the villa. Le Petit Palais did not live up to its grand name & the online photos were somewhat misleading. Positively, the views from the terrace & 2 main bedrooms are stunning, looking directly over the lake & mountains. The driving directions from the airport were excellent & the secure garage was convenient; a car is essential here. For 5 people, the general facilities were fine & the air conditioning in the 2……

“We selected this property specifically for the outdoor space that is in the pictures. We wanted to enjoy the views while sitting outside. Although the inside was accurate the outside did not look anything like the pictures. All outside furniture was tucked in the corner under the deck by the storage area. The other areas outside were like an over grown jungle. They badly need to maintain the outside and either change the photos or put the furniture out. We were very disappointed”

“Wow! Large 2 bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, living area, and a sunroom looking out on the lake. For the money this was a great value. It was very hot while we were there (late May) and the windows don't have screens, so we had to deal with a lot of bugs. The assigned parking spot is very small, and unfortunately the neighbor's car encroached on the space. But those are small complaints on what was a fantastic experience!”

"Overall it is a good experience. Room is ok. The only issue is that there is no window at the lower floor - small window for the upper floor. Saying that, the sun light is good. In terms of room space, we have 2 15/13 year old kids and after the sofabed is spread out, there is limited space. Gym is great with everything while pool is also very nice. Overall service level is very good. We probably need a more sensible solution if we need to call a cab from the city."
