“Our holiday in Menaggio was wonderful because of the beautiful destination, less so the villa. Le Petit Palais did not live up to its grand name & the online photos were somewhat misleading. Positively, the views from the terrace & 2 main bedrooms are stunning, looking directly over the lake & mountains. The driving directions from the airport were excellent & the secure garage was convenient; a car is essential here. For 5 people, the general facilities were fine & the air conditioning in the 2……

“We selected this property specifically for the outdoor space that is in the pictures. We wanted to enjoy the views while sitting outside. Although the inside was accurate the outside did not look anything like the pictures. All outside furniture was tucked in the corner under the deck by the storage area. The other areas outside were like an over grown jungle. They badly need to maintain the outside and either change the photos or put the furniture out. We were very disappointed”

“Loved the property, it was cosy and homely, would definitely stay there again. It is a little scruffy in places but but mainly just helps to give it a cozy lived in feel. Kitchen facilities were perfect for us as a couple, might be a little restrictive if you were a family of four. The view from the veranda is spectacular and sitting outside (even in the rain) was delightful. I could have spent a lot longer there. Getting hold of the keys for the place was a bit of a pain (you have to pick them……

“Wow! Large 2 bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, living area, and a sunroom looking out on the lake. For the money this was a great value. It was very hot while we were there (late May) and the windows don't have screens, so we had to deal with a lot of bugs. The assigned parking spot is very small, and unfortunately the neighbor's car encroached on the space. But those are small complaints on what was a fantastic experience!”

"Overall it is a good experience. Room is ok. The only issue is that there is no window at the lower floor - small window for the upper floor. Saying that, the sun light is good. In terms of room space, we have 2 15/13 year old kids and after the sofabed is spread out, there is limited space. Gym is great with everything while pool is also very nice. Overall service level is very good. We probably need a more sensible solution if we need to call a cab from the city."
