Beautiful Property

We recently spent 4 nights at this condo. The condo was very clean and comfortable. We used the pool daily. We usually had the pool to ourselves. We had a golf cart delivered to the property for us. It was a lovely stay. Very quiet in the evening. Cool air conditioning. Comfy beds. We would stay here again. Oh I forgot, the views are AMAZING!!

Breathtaking views

Great stay in paradise

We had a wonderful time staying at Sotavento. This property was exactly as listed, has amazing views, lovely pool and the perfect location. All staff is very friendly & accommodating. We felt extra safe having evening security at the property. Don’t hesitate, book this and enjoy some of the best views on the island.

Short but SWEET!

Our stay in this condo was just perfect for our family of four. Location and views are exactly what we wanted for our short stay in isla mujeres. Having a golf cart arranged for our arrival was do nice. We could start exploring the island as soon as we checked in. This condo had everything that we needed for a great vacation in isla mujeres. We highly recommend booking your stay in luxury. We will be back!

Miss the views already!

What a great location and the house manager, Deliah really made our stay amazing. She coordinated transporation to and from the airport and answered any and all questions we had so quickly! If you're ok with a lot of stairs you won't want to miss staying here! It has all you'll need for a comfortable stay and the views from each level were amazing. We rented a golf cart for a few days which allowed us to explore the island. Definitely enjoyed our whole stay!

It was a great relaxing time. The neighborhood was great. We have gotten to know the locals over the years and really love the location of the condo. Thanks for everything!! Bring extra cash, as the restaurants mostly take cash, especially the Joint one of our favorites. The taxis take card, which helps.

The Perfect Getaway!!

Delia was absolutely amazing. This trip was our anniversary as well as my Son’s proposal to his girlfriend. We wanted everything to be perfect and Delia made it happen. The property is beautiful with stunning views. The location is perfect with snorkeling right behind you. Wonderful memories were made in this beautiful place!

The reason why we will be back to Isla Mujeres!

This condo was “as advertised”! Simply stunning location on the very quiet end (South) of the island, yet convenient to The Joint, a nearby coffee truck and quaint little store for soda and beer. Watching the sunset over Cancun was spectacular and as the lights came on in town, the show lasted into the evening. Everything went smoothly from check in, replenished water and necessities to check out. We felt very safe and secure in the building and grounds….and this is the perfect place for us to return with family… HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

Nice place, but…

The unit was beautiful and communication was top notch. Delia and staff were amazing! We are avid snorkelers/scuba divers. To access the reef you have to pay 10 USD, the reef is dead and there is barely any sea life. You have to take a boat to access the other areas but unbeknownst to us, you have to wear a life vest, so you cannot get close to said sea life. As for being the quiet end of the island, I use the term quiet loosely. If you like to take a nap from being in the sun, this won’t happen. The Joint has live music that plays from open to close at 9pm. Blaring all day. Then at night, there is a peacock that meows all night long and this road the unit is on gets quite a bit of traffic all night long. We did not sleep more than a few hours each night because of these reasons. The downstairs bedroom faces the main road and is a single pane window. Taxis get expensive and it is approx 100 a day to rent a golf cart. The grocery store is phenomenal and has everything you need at a decent price. We talked to other unit owners and the sound was not an issue for them. The roof top has amazing views. If you are looking for a place to snorkel I recommend going to Cozumel and not Cancun.

Perfect Getaway!

Just stayed for 3 nights, but it was a great place and location. Very walkable or you could rent a golf cart. We rented a golf car for one day and walked the rest or took taxis to the other side for about 150 pesos. You should note that the coffee machine takes the Nestle pods and you’ll have to get more:) great iced coffee and gelato at Marakame within walking, great wings and live music next door at The Joint and we also strolled over to Denuccio’s for an amazing Italian dinner! If you are looking to watch sports take a taxi to Snappers (old Nash’s) and then get a churro from a street cart after! Fresh juices from Aroma Isla are also a must! Can’t wait to be back! Thank you

This place is heavenly!

Located on the south end of the Island which is the quiet end. So peaceful! Amazing views from every terrace. Located directly above Garrafon De Castillo which had incredible snorkeling! A small entry fee to get in but well worth it. You can bring your own gear or rent from them as well. Within walking distance to multiple restaurants and a great little convenience store just half a block away. Also a short walk to Punta Sur which is a must do while on the Island. Can’t recommend this rental highly enough! We all loved it and had the most wonderful stay. Delia was absolutely amazing and helped arrange transportation and golf cart rental. We will definitely be back and will be staying at Sotavento for sure! Thank you Delia and Oscar for the outstanding customer service. You can tell they really do care about their guests. You will be blessed by staying here!!

Overall nice place

Overall, I would recommend this place to stay. The views were great, very clean, and the location was excellent. The downstairs area was nice and cool. The worst part, however, was the master bedroom and bathroom area. Despite turning the AC down, it stayed VERY humid up there, and it was too uncomfortable to sleep. We ended up moving to the second bedroom downstairs, which worked just fine. Also the kitchen is minimally stocked, so cooking isn’t as easy as in other places. Lastly, the communication with the property manager was decent, although not always timely. Also, the cell phone numbers we were given could only be dialed from a landline, which became very problematic when we turned our keys in and suddenly realized we needed back in the room for an item. Again, overall not unhappy, but there was room for improvement.

Beautiful Penthouse Apartment

First off, be forewarned that this place involves a lot of steps, but that is how you get the spectacular views. The pool is on the ground level from the front of the building. And this 3 floor apartment starts on the third floor and goes up from there. Immediately behind the apartment building is Garrafón de Castillo beach resort. $10 per person. We snorkeled and lay on the beach with the iguanas, and then walked back over to the apartments and showered off at the pool before having a quick dip while enjoying the views from the pool. Definitely rent a golf cart for your stay so you can enjoy authentic Mexican food in mid-town. Places there cost half or less than The Joint (a few hundred feet from the apartment) or the North End pedestrian zone. All four of us loved what we ate at authentic places and no one suffered any gastric issues. The Joint does have live music, but it is expensive and is cash only. Cash only is very common there, so be prepared. This place is very close to the south end park, which is a gorgeous place to be for sunrise or sunset. After walking around the north end and grabbing some yummy street food/desserts, head back to the apartment and relax under the stars on the third floor terrace. Afterwards enjoy a restful nights sleep on the wonderfully comfy beds. I’m sensitive to bad beds, and I slept like a baby with no aches or pains. Communication with Delia was prompt, pleasant, and easy. The one surprise was not having a dryer with the washer.

Everything worked and was as represented

Other reviewer(s) mentioned ac issue in upper master bedroom. We were there in May. So long as we kept the bedroom door closed to the staircase, we easily had the bedroom as cool as we wished. There ARE two flights lf stairs to reach the front door and there is no life.

Perfect Penthouse

The Penthouse was amazing! The house is on the quiet side of Isla Mujeres, but close to beautiful views, fun restaurants and right in front of Garrafon Reef Park-a great snorkeling spot. The home manager, Delia, was always available for any questions from the minute we booked til the day we returned home. She set up our round trip airport transfer, ferry tickets and taxi to the house. She also set up our golf cart rental, which was delivered to us the day we arrived. Cesar also helped us with questions we had while on the property. We enjoyed cooking on the rooftop terrace, swimming in the infinity pool and just relaxing with a glass of wine on the main floor balcony. One of our favorite spots was Rancho Capricho. They had amazing food and service! The grocery store was a short golf cart ride away with all the staples we needed. Ah, and the sunrise at Punta Sur...you don't want to miss that! We are already talking about a return trip!

Paradise with a view

We had an amazing stay at this property! It’s located at the quieter end of the island, offering a peaceful atmosphere while still being close to everything you might need. The nearby beach clubs were a perfect spot to relax during the day, and we loved being within walking distance of several fantastic restaurants—each with its own unique vibe and delicious food.The pictures of this place truly don’t do it justice. The property is incredibly spacious, with plenty of room to spread out and unwind. What really sets it apart are the breathtaking ocean views surrounding it—they’re the kind of views you could never get tired of. Whether we were sipping coffee in the morning or enjoying a quiet evening, the scenery was absolutely stunning.This was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a mix of tranquility and convenience. We can’t wait to come back!

Stay here on your next isla mujeres trip

This place is beyond expectations. Ultra clean and gorgeous views. Bianca arranged everything from private car from airport to ferry to her place on Isla. She also had a golf cart delivered to us and all we had to do was leave it there She has beach chairs, cooler, big spray etc We would absolutely stay here again
