"Some things to note: They provide shampoo/conditioner (not separate), bar soap, and their hairdryers are not optimal, the shower in my room did not get hot (not even warm), if your room is near the breakfast area, it will be loud in the morning. The pool area is really nice with a swim up bar. They also have a little games area with a pool table. The staff are all super helpful and the property was very clean."

"RIU Guanacaste was an amazing experience and I will absolutely stay there again when I go back. The staff was extremely hospitable and friendly. The hotel was pristine with easy access to all amenities. I highly recommend this hotel for any first timer or repeat travelers."

"If we had booked through the hotel directly we could have got free breakfast (I think it was $25 each). Also might have got a balcony but the room was fine. At the edge of Jaco so we had a short taxi or Uber ride to get into town - about $4! Although I don't use the casino another guest commented that there was no way to get money! No ATM in the hotel. Nearest is in the center of Jaco. Tried various restaurants. Pool bar was very good - a bit slow but very nice waiters. Pools are lovely though a bit too warm. Very helpful concierge booking and changing tours. Thank you Aura."
