“The Mermaid Inn is one of our favorite motels. The rooms are decorated with a Mermaid/nautical style with some retro appliances. Overall gives a very homey feeling. Rooms are very clean, staff is really friendly and helpful. Situated between a gas station/store and a Mexican restaurant you have access to fresh food and all the amenities you might have forgotten to pack. Like much of the Long Beach peninsula, the Mermaid is quiet and laid back...but still in walking distance to "downtown" and……

“I loved how close we were to the beach and they are a family friendly hotel! Wonderful staff! My only complaint is that our suite was very wn warm and hard to cook down as there is no ac or central air. But overall a lovely place and they are currently doing some remodeling. Would be interested in staying there again for future trips”
