“This was a last-minute booking (we actually booked that day) for a swim meet in Chula Vista. Since it was Comic-Con weekend, even the cheapest places were around $400 per night. We needed two rooms, so we stayed farther south near the border at the Rodeway Inn. The front desk staff were friendly, professional, and check-in took only a couple of minutes. The rooms appeared newly renovated with comfortable beds, reading lights, a barn door, and a large bathroom with a lighted……

“A couple of things about this place. The hotel is good for the price but the area in which it is located is not the nicest. Upon arriving the hotel said they had no king beds and only had one room left which was the two queens (which is not what we requested). The rooms are nice on the inside but it was obvious that the sheets and pillows were not washed. The sheets on the bed had a brown spot on it and the pillows had various pinkish red spots on it. Another good thing is that they had free……

“Upon check in, the staff were great. Quick, efficient and hospitable. Questions were answered quickly about our AC unit. The housekeeper in the hallway really nice. The bald gentleman the next morning who was helping at the breakfast bar, was very nice and approachable. Jesus was very attentive maintaining and stocking the breakfast bar as quickly as he could. Shout out to him because I thought he was very cute =] And all great experience! Plenty of restaurants on the same block and walking……

“At first after traveling it's not the usual check in that we are all accustomed to, but once tht was out of the way, I loved everything about this hotel. This was a solo trip for a tattoo and the location is prime. Other than the tattoo I've spent most my time on Coronado island because it's so close, but instead of paying thousands of dollars I paid hundreds. The parking is a little shady, but all n all love this place and I'll be back. This is my cheat code staying in san diego”
