"We were looking for a place to stay close to the Outer Banks, but still quiet. This studio apartment fit the bill just fine. It is 10-15 mins from the action, in an out-of-the-way neighborhood in Wanchese. The apartment was thoughtfully arranged, clean, and quiet. Plus, there's chickens next door to visit!"

"If your goal is to get away from the beach crowds and experience nature, this well kept home on the bay is a wonderful spot to experience moments like beautiful sunsets and gazing at the Milky Way. With the entrance to Alligator River Wildlife Refuge just a few miles down the road, you'll have the chance to see some cool things. We had a magical encounter with a black bear who scratched his back on a tree and wandered by right in front of us. Thanks Jo Lynn and Bob for sharing your home with us...

"We really enjoyed our stay. The only down fall of the place was all the bugs and how far it was from everything but we made it work. The first day when we showed up the ac was not on. Causing it to be extremely hot. The ac also kept popping the breaker. I contacted the host and they were extremely helpful fixing it in a matter hrs. Other than that the stay was amazing. If you’re looking for a place on the bay and don’t mind the bugs this is it."

"This property is beautiful and peaceful. Many hours spent in the living room reading and enjoying the views of the sound. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything needed to cook a family meal. The beds are very comfortable and the shower in the master bath is big and gorgeous. We definitely plan to come back in the future."

"Staff was super friendly. The property itself was very homey & quiet. My kiddos loved the pool. My husband & I loved the direct beach access! We’ve been on several beach vacations but we spent more time at the beach here than anywhere else just because of how close & easy it was to get there. We felt extremely safe and loved the family & pet welcome atmosphere. If we ever come back to OBX we will definitely stay again! "
