You're spoiled for sightseeing choice when staying in Maroma. Maroma Beach is an ideal place to begin here, but there are plenty of other worthwhile sights to consider. El Camaleón Mayakoba Golf Course, Tres Rios Ecopark, and Paradise Beach are not far from the stretch of coastline and and will cap off your day nicely.

The friendliness and consideration of ALL the staff,made our stay special.They suggested the upgrades and food discounts without us prompting and were always attentive to our needs.
The rooms were clean and well appointed and felt luxurious, if you step out make sure to have mosquito spray!
The grounds are better than the photos,the beach was great for me but very quite this end of the island.
A short bumpy taxi ride will put you in the town in 10 minutes and costs around $12.00.
Overall our stay was great and relaxing.

This hotel is extremely well maintained, someone was always cleaning something no matter the time of day. The suite we had was perfect, with a kitchen, dining tale, sitting room, bedroom and bathroom, all for the same price as a basic room at the IHG hotel next door. The staff was friendly and helpful, the beach divine, over all 5/5 stars!
The only con is the food. The breakfast buffet was expensive and lukewarm, and not very good. We tried both lunch and dinner at the onsite restaurant, and neither was good and both expensive. Luckily, the hotel next door has fantastic food (though still expensive, lol) and can be walked to in about 1 min on the beach!
Absolutely stay here for the room though, the A/C is stellar, the beds comfy, and the room size exceptional.

Hotel Condition – 7/10
The resort is clean and modern, but be prepared for long walks between areas. If you’re at the middle pool (the one with the obstacle course), getting back to the lobby takes a while since you either have to cross the bridge or walk all the way around the right side of the pool.
🍽️ Food – 5/10
The food was average. I wasn’t able to try several restaurants — The Butcher, Bao, Copal, Black Iron, and Chez Moi — because they were fully booked all week. I’d definitely recommend making reservations before arriving.
🤵 Service – 5/10
Service felt slow and inconsistent. Many employees lacked urgency, and wait times were long for almost everything, especially ordering food by the pool, which took over an hour each time.
🏖️ Beach – 1.5/10
The beach was the most disappointing part: murky water, no waves, and fewer than 10 shaded seats.
⭐ Overall
Overall, this hotel needs a lot of work. I was expecting a huge difference from what I experienced. They need:
• More employees
• Faster, more attentive service
• Staff with more charisma and energy

If you want to go to the beach this is not the place for you the beach is horrible I understand it’s an issue with the government they don’t keep their beaches clean but what a waste Black water covered with seaweed I didn’t take any photos wasn’t nothing pretty to take
