The property has been Renovated just the check in area, rest of the resort has not and you can see it as soon as you walk out the reception area.
The food in the resort is ok not tasty, let’s just say you won’t Starve.
The pool ok over crowed and I just didn’t feel comfortable.
Now I stayed in ocean front with rooftop.
The room had huge mold problem the Odor and the air in room was so strong that I had to keep the balcony and the front door open.
My wife had allergic reaction her throat and rash started after few hours.
The room has mold stain and the roof leaked so you can see the stain on the walls.
So I went to reception and I told them the issue with my room…. “OLIVER” who was the manager, owner, and supervisor and other title he called himself was rude, unprofessional, disrespectful and simply unhelpful. He just said there are no rooms, so I said I will pay the difference on upgrade.
His answer was that you got what you paid in Expedia.
So I called Expedia and explain the situation, and Expedia tried calling them and OLIVER he would just pick up the phone and hang up on them, or put them on hold than hang up.
I actually watch this because I was at the lobby!!
We had reservation for 5 nights and honestly since our health and bad experience from”Oliver”
We left next day and went to Grand Hyatt playa del Carmen ( AMAZING AMAZING RESORT).
Oliver has Napoleon complex, that only I can say or describe his with out Cursing him out.
