“Check in person was helpful. Water in shower was barely warmer than cold. It was 5:00 AM so I just dealt with it as I had to leave shortly and would not have time to get in a different room. Carpet in bad shape. Check out person was okay. I asked for a receipt and was told that it would be emailed to me, which it has not been. She didn't even get up from the desk in the office to come to the counter when she checked me out.”

“We were satisfied with breakfast and the suite except for one important detail: the room was described as sleeping 6 and the pull-out sofa only slept one. We specifically booked this hotel for the 6 people in a room need, and paid a premium price, to only be able to sleep 5. One of our teens slept in the dorm as we were visiting their sibling at college.”

“The staff was extremely nice and welcoming, and the breakfast was pretty good with a nice variety of options. However, there were a couple of issues that affected my stay. The bathroom door would not stay open, which was inconvenient, and the elevator was dirty throughout my entire stay and appeared not to have been cleaned. Overall, the friendly staff and decent breakfast were positives, but I think the cleanliness of the elevator and the bathroom door should be addressed.”

“The rooms as always are clean and amazing. They decorate the rooms and common areas for each season. The breakfasts are top notch. The conversations with the owners Pat and Tom are always fun and entertaining. It's like being at your favorite relatives home. The grounds are wonderful and relaxing. You can sit on the front porch or get out on the balcony for picturesque views of the property I can't wait for my next visit”

“The cabin was perfect. Out in the woods away from everything. Miles of beautiful hiking trails. The hosts were great. They are very knowledgeable about the area and helped us with picking out some great hiking spots! We are already planning to go back sometime next year.”

“The rental was a remodeled lower level of the house. It was very roomy, clean and comfortable with furnishings that were better than most rentals. The host was very friendly and accommodating during or stay. We look forward to returning the next time we stay in the area.”

“Very relaxing and I am thinking of checking it out in the winter”

“We had a wonderful stay. It’s such a cute little cottage! Very clean and Gwen (the host) is so nice! We went end of December and it was really cold so we didn’t get to enjoy all of the outdoor amenities, but it was nice. The site does say that it sleeps 4, but there is only one king bed… for those traveling with more people. Also, they do have WIFI, but no TV. ”
