The staff were absolutely useless! Everything we asked for was denied or told they wanted money. At check out our wrist bands were cut off and we were given a piece of paper good for 2 meals and drinks til 3pm sharp. The specialty restaurants were a huge inconvenience to say the least and it was a 20 minute drive to the beach with a additional 6 minute walk.

The place was nice and clean, they should have more options for the food, options are very limited also the staff was nice but not everyone, specially the people at the front desk they have an attitude, unfortunately I lost my key for the room and when I went to get a replacement the person at the front desk told me it was 500 pesos but the next day when I did my check out the manager said it was only 100 pesos, that makes me think that the guy wanted to packet 400 pesos, also the day I arrived the person in the front desk had a nasty attitude, I believe his name was Ezekiel, or something like that, I already left a review about that. Once again, the place was ok, with so many options in playa del Carmen, I probably wont stay here again, for the money you pay here you can find a much better place somewhere else.

The hotel staff was great, my room was ok it was clean but small and I had two double beds when I would have preferred one queen bed. Food was good, didnt like the wildlife walking around the premises eating food off people’s plates that part was the worst and probably wont bring me back. Maybe next time I will stay at the Riu Palace and wont have to deal with that.

My room was very clean and comfortable. The mini bar and refrigerator were full. If I requested something additional in the mini bar, there were no problems with my requests. This was my third visit so far this year. My visits to RIU Lapita were as single traveler and I have nothing but high praise of the staff. From the front desk to the
