“Second time staying here. Staff is friendly and helpful. Clean room and linens. Breakfast offerings are typical generic fair. Dry cereal, pastries, scrambled eggs, waffle maker, etc. They did have a very, very nice selection of lovely high-quality teas available. Orange juice was very good.”

“Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast buffet had hot/cold options but I was a bit disappointed that apples were the only fruit available on in July. That’s a minor complaint, though.”

“Clean room. Very loud HVAC. Front desk personnel need more training so that room numbers are not announced when key cards are presented. People standing nearby should not be treated to instant knowledge of one's arrangements. Complimentary breakfast was a joke. Nasty assortment of junky micro-pastries, a few personal packets of peanut butter, what looked like pre-cooked mystery omelets waiting in the small fridge for reheating, some sugary cereals, and not much else. Nice people, but this……

“Have a dampness to the room. In the carpet - dampness. Ceiling - water spots”

“Air conditioner doesn't work effectively. No Internet service. Room was clean , beds comfortable. Everything else was great.”

“Personally, I feel the Shelby Inn is a bait and switch. The pictures and write up of the "historic inn" make one think they are staying in some cool historic building, while the room I got was in a motel immediately behind the inn itself... The room was clean, and the location was very convenient, but I was shocked pulling up to my room and realizing I spent $152 for a night in a room in a motel in Shelbyville, Illinois...”

“No human check in. Guy in a kiosk. Thought it was a joke. Do not like that system. Property was SO OLD and run down!!!! Will be my last stay at a motel 6.”

“Room was clean, but a bit dated. Breakfast was ok, but hot food wasn’t great. Worst thing was the incredibly loud, creaky elevator that was close to my room!”

“Was a ok place to stay. Manger moved us to new room when reported finding a roach in the room. Air conditioner in frost room didn't work properly and dead bolts in both rooms were not in working order. Would recommend finding another place and paying a bit more.”

“Check-in was an automated video kiosk, where the sound wasn’t very good. The room wasn’t secure as the windows at the Garden level could not lock. the bathroom sink spigot was missing some pieces. In the morning, the smell of Diesel trucks nearby leaked heavily into the room.”
