Welcome to Casa Soleada, our private beachfront home on beautiful Tankah Bay. Our villa is a large 4 bedroom, 4 1/2 bathroom multi-level home with over 4000 square feet of living space designed for comfort and relaxation. Enjoy panoramic ocean views from all living areas and outdoor patios.

Our nightly rate is attractively priced for up to 8 guests. For each additional guest, just $50 per night is added. We're a great value for groups of all sizes. If you're celebrating a Birthday, anniversary, wedding or a family/friend reunion, our skilled staff will help you make the celebration very memorable.

Each of the 4 large bedrooms is furnished with a plush king-size bed, private bathroom, large closet, air conditioning and an ocean-facing balcony. In addition, 2 of the bedrooms also have bunk beds. There is an on-site caretaker and daily maid service and cooking service for breakfast & dinner provided Mon. thru Sat. You just pay for the groceries and a small shopping fee, and our staff prepares your wonderful home-cooked meals right at the villa.

The villa has a gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops, rich wood cabinetry and culinary cookware. There is a comfortably furnished indoor living/dining area, and a relaxing ocean-facing tile-roof patio with a BBQ grill for outdoor dining. The large outdoor pool area is ideal for sunbathing and relaxation. Enjoy the gentle sea breezes and the wonderful views of the enchanting turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! The location (right on the beach), the amenities (kayaks/paddle boards/life jackets/etc.), and especially the staff (Yobany and Edith) who are the nicest people AND amazing chefs....make this place A+++. The rooms (and beds) are comfortable, the kitchen is comprehensive, there are so many fun things for adults/kids to do. Thank you for an amazing time!! Our family will cherish this vacation for years to come.

Wonderful stay at Tankah Shores
We spent 7 wonderful days at Tankah shores! The beachfront location and area were like having a private beach to yourself. The house had everything we needed for enjoying the ocean like kayaks and paddle boards, we even found water shoes to borrow, which were great as it is a bit rocky to wade out right in front of the house. The staff were very friendly and we took advantage of the cooking services, which was such a luxury! When we didn't have them cook or feel like cooking ourselves we walked down the road to Casa Altamar and had some delicious meals. With it being a gated road to the house and Yobany and Edith living onsite we felt very safe. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Gorgeous Home
This home absolutely could not have been nicer! Huge bedrooms with air conditioning and their own bathrooms. Super comfortable beds and linens. Kitchen has everything you need to cook, make smoothies and margaritas. Large tables on front patio…one in the shade and one in the sun. Large dining table inside and another in back if it is too windy…we used all of them! We lived being spoiled with daily housekeeping and even more so, by Edith cooking wonderful meals. As with all the homes in this gorgeous area, the beach was not swimmable. We found other beaches though that were beautiful. Also, we walked down to the cenote right by a house almost every day for a swim. We would highly recommend! Oops…forgot about getting massages right on the front veranda…ahhhh!

Nothing short of amazing!!
My husband and I stayed at Casa Soleada with four other friends during the first week of February. The home was beautiful, clean and very spacious. Frank, the homeowner, was very responsive to our questions leading up to our trip. We were met with a terrific dinner our first night, freshly prepared by Edith. Yobany assisted us with arranging a boat trip to see the ruins in Tulum by sea. That trip included a stop at a Cenote and snorkeling to see sting rays and sea turtles. He also hooked us up with a private driver who took us to the Chichen Itza ruins with a private tour guide that allowed us to skip the lines. One thing we would do differently is that we would have Edith make all of our meals! We chose to eat at nearby restaurants a couple of nights. They were good but somewhat expensive. Edith prepared several breakfasts and dinners for us, as well as snacks each day. Superb!!! We HIGHLY recommend Casa Soleada for a laid-back, peaceful vacation. If you’re looking for paradise, you can stop looking. Book this home!!!

What a fantastic place!
My family of 4 (2 kids - 14, 16) and my brother's family of 5 (3 kids - 15, 18, 21) rented this beautiful home over Christmas. We had such a great time. Yobany and Edith cooking for us was awesome. They are sweet and served delicious meals EVERY TIME! If you have teens or big eaters, order more sides - the rice & beans were key at every dinner to keep kids full. The place was clean and there was plenty of space. The 2 master suites were awesome for the parents. Plenty of beds for kids. Each room had its own bathroom. Great layout for playing games at the 2 big tables outside or 1 giant table inside. The location was good - close to town and grocery store, and down the road a little ways was a cenote the kids swam in. The beach in front of the place is very nice but a bit rocky. The place has a lot of watershoes. We used the paddle boards to swim out further from the shore, or the nearby docks. We loved this place so much that we barely left. Went to the Tulum ruins - the line was insane, but a cool side trip. Go earlier. Overall no complaints! We had a great time. Thank you to Frank, and Yobany and Edith, of course!

Great holiday with our grown kiddos!
We loved the house during the trip we took with our grown kiddos and their spouses for Christmas. Yobany and Edith were great and we used our phone translation app to communicate with them since we weren’t fluent in Spanish. We had food made every day for us and it was so nice to stay home in the evenings and play games and relax. The seaweed wasn’t bad and we are so glad we brought floating lounge chairs with us because they were perfect for floating right at our beach in the shallow water! We even made a makeshift sand court and had a family smash ball tourney on our private beach the last day. If I had to find something that could have been better about our stay it would be the shower heads needing replaced. It was very hard to wash our hair after a day in the ocean and that is an easy fix with better/newer shower heads. Still not bad enough to bring the rating below 5 stars though!!! I would totally stay in this house again but I am not in a hurry to go back to Mexico because outside of the house/neighborhood it seems like so many people try to swindle you out of money somehow. It got tiring! So rent this house and stay in it as much as possible and use the host’s recommendations if you book an excursion!

Awesome stay in Tulum!
The house was clean and perfect for our stay with our family! We loved that it’s located right on the beach and eating our meals out on the patio! The cooks and were great and we loved the food! The kayaks and Sup boards were lots of fun and enough for our big group! Close drive in to Tulum! The only negative which had nothing to do with the property it self was the road getting to the house has major pot holes and is super bumpy. Overall lived our stay!!!

Lovely, Clean, Comfortable Villa
Three generations of our family (one with a broken foot!) stayed comfortably in Casa Soleada in the Tankah area just north of Tulum. We felt safe in and around the villa and Yobany, Edith and the other staff were kind and accommodating of our needs, including those of my somewhat finicky 11 year old. :) The house was well-equipped and very clean. We took advantage of Edith’s great cooking services, which helped to make our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. Two quick notes for future travelers: 1) the living area/kitchen are not air conditioned and were not super comfortable to hang out in at night, even with doors and windows open. 2) if you like veggies, you should be sure to request specific ones in your grocery/meal orders or buy them yourselves. We sometimes picked entrees without fully thinking through the whole meal and often found ourselves craving fresh veggies. It was a wonderful week!

Family Anniversary Celebration
Casa Soleada was perfect for our family of nine. The location, the house, the pool, the views, the staff were above our expectations. The pool is small but we used it a ton. Swimming from the beach was less desirable. Water shoes are a necessity. The staff did try to clear away the seaweed on the edge of the beach but it was pretty futile. There are some docks nearby that you can swim off of. We used the kayaks every day and swam from them out by the turquoise water. There are some nice reefs and fish out there. Frank was an amazing communicator, always answered our questions promptly. He supplied us with two pack n plays, two potties and two booster chairs for our little granddaughters. I would add that the pack n plays could use new mattresses, however we were thankful we didn’t have to bring our own. The neighborhood was fine. There are several restaurants for the cook’s day off. We did not have a car and didn’t need one. We did do an all day tour and were picked up at the house. We would happily stay here again. I highly recommend it.

Family reunion in Tulum! Fantastic!!!
We rented 2 cars at EasyWay in Cancun at the airport and the 10 of us arrived just after dark on Saturday evening. We followed Frank's directions and Google Maps (which matched) and found our way easily! Yobany had supper waiting on us. Since we had rental cars, it was very easy to visit the ruins at Tulum, ruins at Coba, three different Cenotes - one underground, one for cave diving and one for swimming. We all took a ferry ride to Cozumel where we all went out on a dive boat. The 3 certified divers went on a dive, 5 beginners did a discovery dive (first timers jumping off a boat in 25' of water and they all did GREAT) and 2 snorkeled on the top of the water and saw a sea turtle and a shark! Yobany and crew cooked breakfast and dinner for us every night but one and it was fantastic. The service and housekeeping was first class with towel animals on the bed each day. We saw tons of iguanas, some geckos, crabs,etc. The beach in front of the house is great but the ocean is not the best place to swim due to some sea weed, etc. Yobany and crew worked everyday to remove the sea weed but the ocean just brings more in. It was fine and our crew did kayaking and paddle boards. This is a first class rental property!!!!

Excellent vacation with great service from Yobayni and Edith. The beach is great with nice kayaks available to use. Plenty of room in the house with on suite in each bedroom. I highly recommend getting the meal service which actually ends up being much cheaper than the hotel restaurants nearby.

Celebrating Graduates!
What a magical time we had at Casa Soleada! This was definitely the most relaxing vacation I've ever taken. We took advantage of having the pantry stocked when we arrived. Such a treat not to have to travel to go the grocery store! The preplanned meals were so delicious and such a treat to have them served hot for breakfast and dinner! The house staff was so sweet and you barely even noticed their presence. Yobani even grilled up the fish that our boys caught on their fishing excursion! We had several older kids with us, and there was plenty for them to do! Massages, cenotes, snorkeling, fishing excursions, paddleboards, and kayaks kept us plenty busy. Adorable restaurants were just a short beach walk away! Sargasm was in full force, but the docks were handy and made accessing the ocean easy! All in all- I can't say enough good things about the experience. Thank you for the sweet memories!

overall, the house, grounds, beach and amenities were very good. the staff was attentive and responsive regardless of our requests. the only negative which no one can control was the sargassum. it was unfortunately bad the first several days. however, we did get a reprieve for 5 days and a clean beach. again, the sargassum was back the last day before we departed. the staff did an impressive job cleaning it up, but this stuff is unrelenting. i would recommend checking on the issue before booking again. overall, the family had a great time and stated they wouldnt hesitate to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tankah Shores. The pictures can’t capture the magic of this home. It was beautiful, roomy, clean and we really appreciated air conditioning in every bedroom. The location was perfect, it was a drive into Tulum proper, but we were able to walk to a small market, a fancy hotel and a cute bar right on the water. We loved using the stand up paddle boards, kayaks and snorkeling gear as well as the pool, the hammocks and the outdoor dining area. We read so many lovely reviews about Yobani, however he was on vacation the week we were there. There was no reason to worry because Beatriz, Carlos and Lali were so helpful. Beatriz made us delicious meals and was so kind and helpful. We were sad to say goodbye to her. Frank was also very helpful and responsive. We would come back to Tankah Shores in a heartbeat, though I would like to give some advice. Don’t arrive on a Sunday or late Saturday night. The staff has Sunday off and it would have been nice to have them there to get our bearings. Even on their day off they helped us figure stuff out. The sargassum was very deep and thick on that Sunday. It felt almost impossible to get into the water. People were there every day working so hard to remove it, just not on Sunday. Even that slight hiccup did not keep us from having the time of our lives. Thank you so much to Frank, Beatriz, Carlos and Lali.

Casa Soleada Did Not Disappoint!!!!
I cannot say enough about Casa Soleada at Tankah Shores. We just recently stayed at Casa Soleada with 6 adults and 1 child and everything about the trip was incredible. The Caretakers: All the caretakers of the house were fantastic. Yobany greeted us, showed us the house and anything else we needed to know. He was up every morning with a couple other workers getting the sargassum off the beach which was much appreciated. His wife and another caretaker tended to the house every day, making sure the beds were made, and the house was cleaned. They were excellent and so nice. The House: Casa Soleada is an incredible house. The living area/kitchen downstairs is awesome and very spacious. There is a half bath as well that can be accessed from the pool. There are 4 bedrooms in total, all having their ow full bathroom. The three bedrooms upstairs have small balconies that overlook the ocean. The bedroom downstairs has a sliding glass door that lets you out right at the pool. The rooms all have their own air conditioners as well. The Cooking Service: USE THE COOKING SERVICE THEY PROVIDE!!! Its incredible. They are amazing cooks! Beach/Pool: The beach and pool were perfect, nice white sand with plenty of chairs. The pool was refreshing and perfect size. Loved the outdoor dining areas as well! I can honestly not say enough good things about this place. We will absolutely be back! Thank you for a great experience!

Fantastic House and Staff
We were welcomed by Edith, Yobani and Louis upon arrival and were taken well care of with breakfast, snacks and dinners most days. The pre-arrival provision shopping and meal selection process was so convenient and really well organized online. We did the Mayan cooking class taught by Edith, which was very special as well. We did eat at local restaurants two nights, just to get out in town, but the dinners prepared by Edith were just as good (fish/soup/stuffed peppers + flan). The setting, with pool and freshly raked beach with lounge chairs, paddle boards etc. is unbeatable. It's a private resort. We bike through the Coba ruins, hiked in the Muyil nature preserve, scuba/snorkel on the reef and Dos Ojos cenote with Scuba Tulum, and shopped in Tulum. In between it all we relaxed at the casa. Thank you for a great trip.

Amazing doesn’t do it justI’ve!
Every day, Yobany and the other caretakers cleaned the home, took care of seaweed on the beach, cleaned the pool! We had dinner prepared by Edith four nights, and it was reasonably priced… Just pay for groceries and the trip to the grocery store and it was all delicious. What a treat to not have to go out for every meal, and certainly less expensive! The location is phenomenal… Right on the beach. We hope to come back next year!
