“Older motel but rooms have been updated well. Excellent location right on the beautiful pristine Belleair Beach. Great proximity to lots of restaurants and Clearwater Beach. Outdoor dining tables could be a little nicer and they were located right next to some stinky trash cans. But you can’t beat the view, and they did have some super comfy Adirondack chairs to take in the beautiful views. Great value too. Definitely will stay again!”

“I booked a king size oasis room and they gave me a run down king size. Called the front who said because I booked through Expedia it’s not the actual room that was shown it was just the category - king size room. That’s complete and utter trash. I stayed the night previously in a very nice and well priced marina view with upgraded room amenities. Figured the king size would be better given the hire pricing etc but they gave us one of the worst rooms on the property. But front desk said the……

“We had a wonderful stay at the Barefoot Beach Club. The staff were friendly and wonderful. We had a beautiful ocean view room. The only downside we had was the lack of respect of some of the guests and their children at the pool area. As well as the last evening we were there, children were in the pool after the pool should have been closed, screaming and yelling. The resort itself was amazing, the staff were great.”

“I am not one to write bad reviews but everything about this place was off. When we went to check in I found out that parking is 3 blocks away. 3 blocks when it feels like 105 outside is not fun for anyone. At least offer a valet option. First time I spent $40 to park as well. Next once we arrived to the room the lighting was somewhat dim and we noticed the sink looked dirty and the shower was not cleaned. When we put the water on you could see soap bubbles from the last people’s visit. There……

“Classic older hotel but well maintained. Like stepping back into the 1950's. Great breakfast with real dishes and silverware. Staff welcoming and efficient. One frustration was the sound volume on TV regulated so low I could not hear the news shows important to me.”

“Great hotel, actually built on the property (the Tropicana) where I once ran an art gallery. Sadly, nobody working there, despite the plaque right outdoors, knew anything about the property or its history. Two things. The bar is a wasteland, which is a shame, because it’s clean, attractive and should be buzzing, especially during the World Cup. A number of folks at breakfast (which is great!) were looking for someplace to watch the game(s). None of them were going there. The second thing……

“This motel is in a great location. The staff was friendly and quick with responses to any questions we had. The pool area was lovely, although we did not use it in the short time we were there. The restaurant on site with the live music in the evening is an added bonus. Our room was a bit toasty but clean and had everything we needed. Our particular bathroom could definitely use an update but all in all, it was a great, completely last minute find!”
