Robbed

Posted Sep 18, 2017
Pros: 99% of staff friendly and helpful
Cons: HANDRAILS on steps on the side of office and the steps from pool to go to buffet! You need to put hooks or a shelf in the bathrooms.
Location: nothing
Pros---They are very service oriented at this place. Lots of staff around to help with guests. Nice, comfortable beds. Room service was wonderful! Better than the buffet or grill. Cons----do NOT come here if steps bother you in any way! They have lots of steps and no handrails or the main steps or steps to the buffet and grill (across the street) . Food was typical all-inclusive food. The bathroom in our room was very odd. The door did not open all the way d/t hitting the toilet and the shower door didn't open all the way d/t hitting the showerhead. Be prepared to slide in sideways. Also the bathroom is extremely small and there is no where to hang or put towels or clean clothing except lid of toilet. ugh! Cherry on top---- someone helped themselves to the LOCKED safe and took our 20 dollar bills. At least they left us 5, 10 and one dollar bills. On our last night there we were in the room in the evening showering packing. Someone knocked at the door. We didn't want to answer. A man let himself into the room of 2 girls, later evening to "bring us cookies" Extremely odd and uncalled for. Would never stay or recommend to anyone!

Nice hotel with great food!

Posted Sep 1, 2017
Pros: Food and service, quiet location, cleanliness, and the pool.
Cons: Night life and a little better mosquito control
Location: It's located near Chankanaab. It's not within walking distance of other hotels.
We stood at the hotel for a week and it was a bargain financially. The service and food were excellent. This was extremely important to us. The ocean view rooms are not going to wow you in terms of decor or color but everything inside was new, very clean and the mattresses were very comfortable. The pool was nice. Their small man made beach across the street was satisfactory and you go down a set of steps for snorkeling (water was amazing). The perks are that you could get free equipment from them and you're right near their 3 beach restaurants. They have a pool table and board games. They have 1 hour shows outside, dependent on weather and whether the mosquitoes (after rain) are too much for the guests to take. If you are looking for an incredible night life, this is not the place for you! Go to the center of town for the young crowd. Taxis are always waiting to take you places. I would highly recommend this hotel.

My experience was amazing.. staff was perfect, and good food. Only thing was you have to walk across the road to get to the ocean and there isn't a beach. Other than that I would give it five stars, six stars if you could kill the mosquitos.

Jewel on the Ocean-relaxing

Posted Aug 24, 2017
Pros: The service was fantastic and the hotel was always kept very clean. The rooms were comfortable/clean. Snorkeling great. Sunsets view- not like Cancun.
Cons: The Wait staff in the evening restaurant area had limited knowledge of Gluten -free. This made it hard to get proper Celiac diet meals.
Location: We went to the Money Bar, which is just a short walk and had a great dinner. Portions are huge and reasonable priced. Also when to town which was fun.
We went on a family vacation for 1 week with our 2 daughters . This would be our 6th time in Mexico, but first time in Cozumel. We always stay at 4-5-star all-inclusive resorts. It is a smaller resort compared to many of the mega resorts in the region, but this did not limit its food variety or service. In fact, we found that the staff was more attentive and gave better personalized service. Although the hotel was full, we never had to rush down in the morning to claim a prime beach spot. There is always great spaces with reclining chairs and/or beach beds available. Also, plenty of umbrellas. There is fantastic snorkeling right off the beach, some of the best we have ever seen, with no need to go on a boat excursion. In fact, numerous varieties of fish will swim around you as you just relax cooling off in the ocean. Since the beach area is a focal point, they have four food options available right there. A Sea Food location which provides great ceviche, fish/shrimp tacos, and other sea food entrees- all great. A grill area- that supplies burgers and fries (My daughters loved the choices). A Main area that provides a hot buffet, large salad bar/cold cut/dessert options, and a grill area (Steak/Tuna/ Mahi-Mahi etc..) cooked to order. Plus, a fresh taco station where fresh corn tortillas are cooked with numerous fillings offered. And the final food options are a daily specialty station, where the Chef sets up a tent and prepares a daily themed meal. (Always great!)

Great place to stay on Cozumel

The hotel was great for me & my 18 year old grandson. Love the beds over the water at the beach. Rooms are spacious and clean. Bathroom tight but adequate. I would stay again.

Been to Fiesta several times. Things don't seem to change much....food, drinks, activities. Even though the hotel has been remodeled recently, it is starting to show wear and tear. The staff is always friendly and does a good job. Love the location.

Pros: the food
Cons: entretainment especially for the kids. Also a better variety of show in the evening would go a long way
Location: Park Chancanab is very close and its definately a must see
We have visited the Mexican Carribbean for the past six years, always staying at different resorts. Our favorite had been the Fiesta Americana Condesa in Cancun so we decided to give another Fiesta Americana a try. Fiesta Americana Cozumel has great service and the food was great! Although the buffet was small it had variety and great flavor. The chilaquiles were so good. The restaurants were excellent (try the queso fundido at the Mexican restaurant)! Unlike other resorts, Fiesta Americana has good seafood at the beach at their little seafood shack (ceviche yumm). The hotel itself is quite small but nice. The rooms have amazing view of the sun setting over the water. The rooms are pretty spacious but the bathrooms are a bit tiny. The downside, I would say is that the beach is not your traditional sandy beach. There is a reef that surrounds the island so the entrance is quite rocky. It is very pretty to enter and snorkel however, my daughters (2 and 4 year olds), really missed making castles in the sand.

Fiesta Americana Staff very service-oriented

Posted Jul 30, 2017
We enjoyed our 6-night stay at Fiesta Americana very much. We've been to Cozumel 6 times now and this resort was definitely the best we've stayed at yet. The food was excellent, including the buffet. We loved the fish tacos served by the Cevicheria, and my husband really liked the burgers from the beach grill. Every day the staff was cooking something good on the beach. There were several nights when tacos were served by the pool - we ate the tacos from the buffet and they were very good. We also tried the Asian and Mexicana restaurants - all good. The bartenders got to know what we liked and kept the beverages coming. They used top shelf liquor when asked. Although everything else was great, the best thing about the Fiesta Americana was the level of service from the staff. We also used the Dive House on site for our diving, and they are a first-class operation. All in all, a great experience!
