Great hotel, staff caters to your every need. Clean and plenty of options for food, there's something for everyone. You can snorkel right off the dock, quiet relaxing atmosphere.

It's okay...

Pros: Good snorkeling and close to Chankanaab. Free parking. Nice little gym and spa.
Cons: The front desk staff is curt and needs to work on their people skills. Room AC is either running constantly or not at all.
Location: Nice quiet location, but only 10 minutes by car if you want to go to town. We recommend renting a car so you can come and go as you please.
We stayed here because Secrets was undergoing renovations. The room was ok, once we got the air conditioning sorted out, and all rooms face the ocean so you have a view, which is nice. The staff here was ok, food ok (not great).

Just OK

Posted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: The staff.
Cons: The Italian restaurant was marginal. More English speaking channels on the TV. The food.
Location: Diving. We did the pirate sunset dinner cruise. Parts of the games are PG-13 rated and I would not take less than a 16 year old on this excursion.
This hotel seems to cater more to Mexican patrons. Food is typical all-inclusive. The Asian restaurant seemed the most palatable to us. There is no longer a dive shop on site so don't rely on booking when you arrive. Room was clean but we had to heap the towels near the door to get them replaced. There were only two channels on the TV that were English speaking, CNN and HBO Family, everything else was in Spanish. Communication was sketchy occasionally. ALL the staff were pleasant and did their best to make our stay nice. We did not encounter one person who was sullen or less than friendly despite any lack of language skills on our part.

Beautiful hotel, right on the water.

We just got home from a week's stay at this hotel. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return. It has contemporary decor, giving this hotel a boutiquey vibe totally unlike any other all-inclusive we've stayed at. The service was personal and friendly. You can tell that the staff enjoys working here - everybody has a smile for you. The rooms - beautifully decorated, large and comfortable. The food - excellent. The location - just enough off the beaten path but close to everything. Can't wait to go back!

Not What I Thought

Posted Aug 9, 2015
Pros: Checking out.
Cons: Maybe nothing. Maybe they have figured out you can make more money catering to 8 year old ping pong players than 60 year old scuba divers.
Location: There is a great supermarket across the street from Cozumel Palace. Go there and get some diarhea pills, you'll be needing them.
My wife and I stayed at the Fiesta Americana the last week of July and the first week of August, 2015. We are American scuba divers with 25 years experience going to dive resorts in the Caribbean and many in Cozumel. I have gone past this hotel dozens of times over the last 20 years and there has always been I dive facility there. I booked the trip assuming there was a dive operator there. There is no dive facility at Fiesta Americana now. I took a cab downtown and arranged diving my first night at the hotel so I made the best of a bad situation. The hotel caters to Mexican families. That's not good or bad, that's what it is. A lot of kids, noise, loud. loud, loud. Ping pong, air hockey, pool tables...that is what you get at Fiesta Americana. Somebody's girlfriend did the much heralded "renovation". Too many stupid things too mention here. The food was average at best. The Japanese, Mexican and Italian restaurants are a joke. Many of the staff speak no English. If you want any kind of service, just do it yourself.
