“Don't bother picking whether you want a non-smoking room or not, they'll just give you whatever room they have open at the time and tell you to deal with it and they will switch you another room when it's open. “John the owner was a terrific host, and prepared delicious home-made breakfasts. The 'Jean Harlow' room where we stayed was spotless, delightfully decorated, and very comfortable. Had a little trouble finding the correct entrance upon arrival at the house, but that was resolved quickly. Beautiful historic home is conveniently located both for downtown Troy and also for RPI campus and other sites up on the hill. 'Angus' the dog was also very friendly! “We had a wonderful, relaxing experience at Camp Hunter, staying in The Owl's Nest. The camper and site were immaculately clean, well-stocked with everything we needed and even some treats! Relaxing by the firepit, cooking in the outdoor kitchen, making popcorn over an outdoor fire ( Yes! Even the supplies for that is provided) The gorgeous outdoor hot tub pavillion with a forest view is heavenly! Holly is the kindest and most thoughtful and welcoming host, who even set up chairs in the field……
